Changing the Detent Magnets on the Winterblade Co Factor

In this video I tried, and failed four times, to change to the stronger Detent Magnets. I eventually succeeded but this isn't for the faint of heart. I highly suggest watching Bryan's videos multiple times before trying. Just remember the old saying; Fail, Fail again, Fail Better.

It's cool that they include the optional magnets.

The magnets are the most frustrating process in conjunction with the washers and the other magnets....🤷‍♂️ Worth every curse word! ❤

One really helpful tip is to keep the blade closed when removing the back scale (and also when putting it back on)... The magnets attract to the blade and won't jump around on you that way. :D Cheers!

Would a sharpie mark on the magnets be helpful? Keep from losing track...

The first time I disassembled b2, I also broke half of the magnet, until it became easier to dismantle late

If you go to their website they have a spreadsheet and on it if you scroll down you will see winter blade Factor listed as one of their options.

Where did you find Bryan’s video on this? I’ve been looking everywhere and just can’t find it. It’s not on his site or KZread.

Hi! Go to his website and search for Product info. Click on Factor in search results and it'll open a doc. In the doc are links to a bunch of videos and links. Let me know if you find it.

There are no detailed dismantling videos on the b2 network at all, and the official website does not have all the dismantling methods of b1, so basically you have to study how to dismantle it yourself

My own way is to stick the carbon handle with tape so that they don't separate
