Thanks Ben. I followed your guide and it worked perfectly. The only issue was that when I restarted the engine, I was presented with the full spectrum of warning lights and the car told me that it was in reduced performance and access height! Thankfully after wo restarts the lights went off, however it was very worrying at the time!!! Don't you love how they try to bite back...

Mine has only done that once, and it was when I tried a cheap scan tool (for youtube purposes). Never done it using the GAP tool.

Thanks Ben, will be doing this to mine at some point. Be interested to see what you did for the tow bar in CCF as my sensors stay on when I have trailer fitted. Also if you a link to the seat belt bong that would be great. Thanks

Great video mate. I've disabled my folding door mirrors on locking but I still want to manually fold the door mirrors via the switch on the door panel. Can only get them to stop folding on locking if I select not fitted 🤷🏻 this then disables the door panel switch. Folding mirrors are just another thing to break 😂 The other option does what it likes, sometimes folding them on locking and not its got a mind of its own.. Same model as yours.. 2010 3.6 Any advise?

Sorry, can’t help with that one. I’ve not looked at the options for the folding mirrors. I’ll have a look next time I’m out in the car.

Sorry, I have no idea. You might need to find someone that specialises in breaking Range Rovers.

Can you do an egr delete from this tool?

It will probably work, but functions may be limited. I have the TopDon ArtiDiag900 bt, it works well on the RR, but it is slightly more money.

Hi, just facelifted my 2008 RR Sport, unfortunately it doesn’t support the AFS headlights from the later model, now the flashing icon on the dash is so annoying. Am I able to delete the AFS option with this tool

You might be able to, if the option is in the CCF files. Best to ask GAP Diagnostics for a definite answer.

question see you use a i pad with your gap tool, could o use a old laptop with the gaptool ?

I had to use a pc laptop to set up the gap tool, update firmware, and add the complete ccf list to the tool, but don’t think (I may be wrong) you can use the tool to diagnose with a laptop.

Hi was going to buy a gap tool but was told to get jlr ssd mongoose any good?

I can’t really comment as I’ve not used the SSD Mongoose. For me the portability of the gap tool, and the fact you can use it with your phone makes perfect sense, especially if you use the car for travelling etc. The gap tool, does almost the same as dealer level scan tools, I’m constantly surprised by what it can do.

Hi ben can the gap tool change the vin on the dash?

I'm not sure, I've never had the need to. Best to ask GAP Diagnostics themselves.

Do you know if this will work for US based vehicles?

I would say yes, as there are some US spec options on it. But maybe get in touch with GAP Diagnostics to see what they say.
