    The white on the Chocolate means that it has melted and then hardened again 😊 If Chocolate cools down fast, like in a fridge or freezer, then this happens...

    Yep I'm a Chocolatier (no sh*t) it's just the cocoa butter moving through the chocolate it separates slightly and crystallises on the surface of the chocolate it is still edible its called "fat bloom" Mainly found on older chocolate.

    Amy, please reply to me. I live in Aus and am very very sick to the point of almost being bed bound (though sometimes I can use my wheelchair to get out of bed) due to my extremely low bp from POTS (I have EDS). I cannot find a doctor in Australia who knows about ports for EDS to allow me to run fluids that I desperately need. Please tell me how you have got medical assistance to have a port in Australia- this could change my life. thank you so much

    I’m a pastry chef and when chocolate does that it means it has bloomed. Older chocolate that has had very harsh temperature changes it happens. It can taste off cause the sugar has come to the surface of the chocolate. It is perfectly fine to eat even better if u melt them down and make chocolate covered strawberries with them.

    Amy try using your skin prep spray prior to putting the sensor on. I use the libra sensors and put them on my stomach and find it’s best to put an extra covering over it. It’s suggested that you cut a small hole in the centre and place that hole over the centre hole on the sensor.

    could be two types of reactions known as chocolate Bloom. one is related to its fatty acids and the other, the sugar. Fat Bloom (is moist, sticky etc) chocolate has sugar and a large variety of lipids etc each one melts at a different t "boiling point" when they solidify or rather, recrystalise, they don't necessarily (aka usually, they don't) return to the exact type they were before (most chocolate uses a type of cocoa butter k own for its stability. when it recrystalises or if it wasn't tempered correctly, then the c.b (cocoa butter Vi being most stable) will become a less stable form like V or IV (meaning, the chocolate can then "Bloom" uncontrollably sugar Bloom (feels rather dry and the texture is...sandy) sugars have a lot of water content vs lipids which are more complicated than the usual Carbon to sugar to water set ratios lol. som it evaporates. poof!!! however, you can MAYBE revive it and maybe return it to yummy goodness. usually a drop of water and a...hair dryer on low. too fast and you will not get great results. this is much harder if it's the fat as the recrystalisation that occurs just ends up making it...still lousy (ever had some sorbet melt a lot, try to refreeze and the texture is way off? that's dueto the matrix of the new crystals reforming all askew,unlike the perfectly homogenous crystal lattice it came in XD /chemistry class is done

It just struck me as a nice old-fashioned word; our pantry was a walk-in cupboard... it was also called a "larder" - do u use that in USA? - in the North of England the weather is always cold so (having no 'fridge) meat was kept in a "meat safe" on the outside of the back-door wall, it consisted of a grid 4 air to circulate and a lock & key; washed clothes were passed through a wooden mangle by hand... no spin-dry - I assure u that our "woolies" NEVER dried completely on the clothes line outside and never really completely dried even on the "clothes horse" in front of the peat/coal open fireplace... brrr - during '66/'67 I was about 11yrs old and I was already "California Dreaming" on such winters' days

    That’s too much tea for how much water you put in 😝 the tea leaves expand quite a bit so you really only need a little bit of tea 😁

    The weird colour in chocolate is caused by liquid fat such as cocoa butter migrating through the chocolate and crystalizing on the surface

  • @crystalcarmona9115
    @crystalcarmona91154 жыл бұрын

    The chocolate turns white because of the fat or sugar crystallizing. It's called a CHOCOLATE BLOOM. You can eat the chocolate as is, or melt it down to even out the sugar and fat content throughout. It's still safe to eat.

    Its called bloom and its technically harmless, but to me it makes the chocolate powdery and wrong tasting.

    I cant speak for Amy but I have the same condition. For me its completely different to the "normal" every day vomiting. When it's a bug the vomiting is much more violent , I feel more clammy and generally not right and plus point I dont get the diorreah as my colon transit is too slow for it to do anything. But this does mean the bug lasts longer and the vomiting is more extreme.

    That “white-ish” stuff just means the chocolate was exposed to heat then cold then heat...etc. not bad for you unless you eat a lot of it but I would just return it or throw it away...if you ever open chocolate chips and see white stuff...do not use them...in the oven they will not melt/taste right after cooking. Yuck!

    Would a temporary injection port be useful for you? Or is that for Type 1 DM only? Please forgive me if you have answered this before. Searching comments is not easy.

    I would love to have a HotPod but the company doesn't ship to the United States. I have constant stomach pain and no doctors know whats wrong with me so I just live my life in pain. I was hoping to get one so that I could take it with me to work. You have helped me so much in staying strong in the last year of my life. Thank you for making this wonderful content. It reminds me that I'm not alone.
