I'm absolutely in love with your tattoo Ms Amy!! I'll be 38 next Saturday and I'm seriously considering a tattoo for a gift to myself. It'll be my first tattoo and I'm a little nervous...

Amy if you have any problems getting strips send me a message as I have a good few boxes from my previous monitor before it died. I’m now using a different blood sugar monitor. Am more than happy to pop them into the post for you at no cost to you, Better someone use them than let them sit in the cupboard. They are still all in current use by date too. Luv the leggings. Sending hugs from Victoria

Hay sweetie. I had the same acucheck in black and pick same as yr old ones. But the cassettes drove me mad and sometime I would lose to use them. But I went and got the same one as u just got and it's so much better and I have and no problems with it. My sugars have been all over the place for week... mine always dropping to 4- low 4's and for me that makes me bad enough. I get really poorly when it's in the 3's.... Good luck with the upping yr feed babe. I'm happy to shear my weight. 😊 I was always so tiny and never heavier than 6.2 for about 3 years then took me about 4 years to get up to 7 n half stone. After having my major knee reconstructions on both knees and 2 years recover as it was on after the other I put on so much weight. But I did lose 4 st I do have pcos aswell and I only have fortisips and now I can't lose any weight and I wish I could get to 8 n half -9 stone 🤔😕. I'm not sick to often I use my sick meds and anything that can help as I have a big fear of being sick as because growing up all my life I have always picked up every stomach bug and was forever being sick and having bowel problems... so left me with a fear big time. Xxx Xxx

It's so difficult trying to gain though! If I have a bad few days I can easily lose 2kg, then it takes 2 weeks to gain it back again :( Hope you get on okay adding a bit extra, not as easy as it sounds is it x

In the US, we pronounce the shoe brands different. Nike (Ni-key) and Addidas (A-dee-dus), something like that, I don't know if you can look up pronounciations on line or not.

I honestly think it depends on the person or what people around you say. I'm from the UK same as Amy, and I say "nikey" But also say "addi-dASS" lol. I just prefer how they sound that way

I don't know if it will help, but I'm probably your mom's age and I suffer from gastroparesis. You can show her this message if you'd like. I'm a mother of 4 boys, my oldest is a US Air Force veteran and my youngest just turned 12. I have 2 adorable grandchildren. Unfortunately, I struggle with gastroparesis and some other abdominal problems, but by far the worst of my problems is the gastroparesis. The nausea is absolutely horrible even though I'm one of the lucky ones who is able to manage not vomiting by using a scopolamine anti-nausea patch behind my ear. At first I was able to eat food that was relatively healthy but in smaller portions, but that really didn't last long, and more and more foods came off of my "can eat" list to the point that only some canned fruits and scrambled eggs are what I would call healthy foods that I can still eat. Right now, I'm underweight and struggling to get back to a healthy weight, but many GP patients have the opposite problem and you'll understand why when you see what I'm able to eat in a normal day. I think it really just depends on where you are when your symptoms begin as to which way it might end up. Either way, you won't be well nourished or feel well on this kind of diet: Breakfast = english muffin with honey, lunch = 2 - 3 chicken nuggets with 1 slice of canned pineapple and 3 tater tots, afternoon snack = 1/2 apple fritter, supper = 1/2 chicken pot pie; Comfort foods and sweets seem to be the only things I can stand to eat, and even with this diet, I will be severely bloated and doubled over with gas pains despite taking digestive enzymes 30 minutes before and gas-x immediately after eating. Because of the lack of nutrients, as you would suppose, I have little to no energy and the sugar involved hampers any sort of afternoon nap, and night time sleep is hampered with gas pains that are severe enough to wake me up sometimes. We are all different, but I would venture to say, that Alyssa is not faking or exaggerating her symptoms. It really is a horrible thing to have, and I'll be praying for you both.

You mean a blood sugar meter? It’s not a monitor. A monitor is like a dexcom that stays on your arm and monitors your BG 24/7

AK Vlogs it’s not that big of a deal. Might be a difference in country why she said monitor versus meter. Honestly I knew exactly what she was talking about.

It can be called a monitor or a meter. Plus, dexcom isn't a blood glucose monitor it's an interstitial glucose monitor.
