Explanation ❄ Let's find out what the MotoGP 2027 rules have been announced.
1. machine
The engine will drop from 1,000cc to 850cc
piston size from 81mm to 75mm and 1 season can only change 6 engines.
This will reduce top speeds, make the sport safer, and increase mileage, making it more efficient and sustainable.
2. Fuel oil
Currently racing fuel uses 40% sustainable energy, and in 2027 it will change to 100% sustainable energy.
The 22 liter capacity tank changes to 20 liters.
In Sprint Race, maximum fuel consumption is 11 liters.
3. Aerodynamics
The original body was 600mm wide, now it's reduced to just 550mm.
The length of the front fairing will be shortened by another 50mm.
This rule will help reduce the distance in competitions, leading to more overtaking skills.
4. Rear wings
1 team can only be upgraded once to control development costs
