Jerry curl is called soft curl permanent or curly perm. All of these products have the same active ingredients. Jerry was the name of the person who invented curly perm or soft curl permanent hence the reason it was called jerry curl.

​@@kurlymeka exactly. Jheri Redding. There nothing wrong with getting a perm. It was never the perm itself that was greasy it was the overuse or misuse of the maintenance product. It's healthier than getting a cancer causing relaxer.

@@sandra-jones I'm aware of that. However it's not sodium hydroxide relaxer (lye). It's a thio relaxer. The two are very much different.

The fact that Jheri Curls are making a come back is something I never thought I would see lol

This is called a Jerry curl a lot of beds and sofas got destroyed because of those curls my advice to you is to never sit on somebody's couch with the Jerry juice dropping off your curls

Same reason they call a hair rap molding the hair cause we getting to the age our moms was when they reminded us they used to wear halter tops and wide legs that they called bell bottoms lmao it's not new to anyone they tryna act like they made it uo

why do they want to destroy our crown.. did anybody realise that the jheri curl came out after the black panther Revolution people wearing their hair naturally at large rates. our black women are wearing their natural hair more and more and now the jheri curl is back. don't let them convince you that your crown is now beautiful. do not let these companies and stylist profiting off of these companies profit from any insecurities you may have

When I had Jheri, I wanted mine set on larger perm rods to have larger curls/waves versus tight coils

Jheri curl, same process, had it done 30+ years ago, about 2hour long process, and you must use the oily moisturizer, but what bothered me is washing my natural hair finish in 20 min by adding styling gel only does the same to show my natural curls.

GUESS WHAT YALLLLLLLLL...JERRY GURLS ARE BACK I MEAN JERRY CURLS

Think she should have gone with a bigger rod for a looser wave pattern but those small curls will eventually become loose after a few days once the moisturizer set in the curls nice job!

I had a wave nouveau for years and it grew my hair as long as I put it in. Then I had problems with my shoulders and others just didn't shampoo out all the chemicals and it broke off. In the top of your head chemicals and dyes will linger there.
