DCP, Thanks for your sterling efforts in producing all of these great GIMP tutorials 70 to date WOW. Just a suggestion , as the list of these great videos grows, could you arrange them into separate playlists for ease of reference i.e. Beginners - Image Manipulation - Layers - Colours - Tools - Filters - Modes - Tips, Tricks, Examples etc.... Thanks again for your efforts.

Thanks 👍 I have have another 40 playlists for other applications so I put all videos into a single playlist for each application as I have over 600 videos

This tutorial was SO helpful, I only got GIMP yesterday and I've already been able to make so much cool stuff with these tutorials. Thanks a tonne DCP!

i've given up on GIMP in my opinion its not very user friendly, i'm sure its got its strengths and i suppose it depends on what you wanna do but even simple tasks are overly complicated. if you want to edit and manipulate your images just use Photopea its very similar to photoshop but its free, that being said these tutorials on GIMP are probably the best on youtube so respect to DCP web designers for doing them

I am having trouble adj. colour. The car is a dark green and the untouched photo is more pastel green. I have played with all the color adj. to no avail.

@@dcpwebdesigners Another tried but couldn't get there. Is not a colour change per se, it should be a darker green instead of pastel green - like British Racing Green. Sorry I don't have a raw image.

I've done the steps above but it's not going well, because when I change the lightness, it works really well, but the hue and saturation section is not changing at all. Can you help me please?

Hue and saturation will only work if the original colour is not black it white

Why when I use colors>hue-saturation I can't get to colors I want?? Can't get red? Slider goes from pink to pink with all colors but red in-between? Have I disabled something somewhere? Help!

@@dcpwebdesigners A image file with existing texture already on it, it's a pic. Firstly I'll just say I'm changing the color of a texture on a Armor for a game, it's the same as this, you simply export afterwards to the nif and overwrite. I got it to work, once but now gimp is being stingy, keeps changing the color of the whole nif rather than the selected area, if I hit enter after selecting it then it reverts back after I try to colorize again.

AHA! I figured it out, free select does the trick, 5 videos and not a single one helped...Still figured it out, that's gonna make playing the game with my custom stuff all the more fulfilling MMH!
