Perfumes really depend on people and on the skin chemistry. Taking a perfume just based on smell in the bottle can easily be a miss. I have no5 and I love it. I hated the smell on the bottle, I hated the smell on the strip, but on my skin its like a sweet flower bouqet. Yes it might smell like something an older woman can wear but I dont mind it. Im 28 Edit: thanks for the video btw, I enjoyed watching it❤

Agreed. Perfumes really do depend on people preferences and skin chemistry. It was a bling buy gift, so I never did a “strip test” but on my skin it’s too powdery and really isn’t my taste, but I’m glad that you enjoy it!❤️

@@EmeraldSea3 this is true. Perfume is really personal. There are a lot of perfumes other enjoy and I dont feel. I love the journey to find new scents and connect them into my life, it creates a scent memory. I love it!

That Chanel #5 came out in 1921 not in the 80s it's over 104 years old you don't know what you're talking about it's one of the best perfume in the world.

Yes, Chanel No. 5 was introduced in 1921. I've noticed an error in the initial researched article stating 1986, and I'll rectify that in the details section. Thank you! 😊 Fragrance preferences are subjective, and while you might consider Chanel No. 5 as one of "the best," opinions may vary, but it doesn’t mean that someone doesn’t know what they’re talking about. IMO the original Chanel No. 5 is a retro fragrance often appreciated by an older demographic (as it was released over a century ago) fond of powdery floral scents. Thanks for sharing your insights.☺️❤️

I'll give you a tip: try the Parfum/Extrait version of No. 5, it smells completely different to the EDP version, I have both and I'm shocked at how different they are and it kind of turned on a light bulb in my head, because finally It made me understand why Chanel No. 5 is so famous. The Parfum version is much more voluptuous, rich and even sexy, while the EDP I find quite dated. I think many people would change their opinion about this fragrance if they tested the Parfum instead of the EDP hehe

You are absolutely correct.... I hate the EDP and the other versions as well!!!! Smelled the parfum, and it smells different. I mean you know it's No 5, but it's a different smell. I'm buying that Itty bitty expensive bottle of the parfum, lol!

No5 edp is imo the least no5 of them all. It’s also the youngest since it was made in the 80s. The edt is what he should’ve gotten you. Each version smells different. The edt is sweeter,more floral and it shimmers off the skin like heat from sunlight on a hot day. Eau premiere is good as well and has a similar effect with a bubbly lemony effect. Leau is the all the bubbly lemon with like 2% no5 added. The parfum is also an amazing option. It’s more jasmine heavy than any of the other versions though.
