This is the man that we need as a future President of the United States of America or now as someone that Advises the President each day in difficult decisions. If this is not possible then at least in charge of deciding About the best health coverage for its citizens. I listened to both of your speeches, I salute you, you are a great man, your Mom is a very proud Mom of her son and will greet you when your time comes. Thank you for your wisdom. This is the best advise that any graduates can hear. God Bless You.

He has some excellent, convicting comments for the doctors here. Encouraging them to give patient's hope, giving them the benefit of the doubt regarding the sometimes mysterious symptoms they're reporting and simply being healers to the best of their abilities. The human being is body, mind and spirit. "Treatment" is holistic.

It’s extraordinary that Admiral McRaven can speak clearly for these new MD graduates. He compresses the essentials of medicine into what that focus should be. His stories exemplifies his understanding of medicine and what really counts. I doubt many other speakers could have provided an equally impactful address.

This guy is a simpleton. He backs the collectivist politicians who want to put women in combat with men. Any real military leader who has any knowledge of the problems with women in the military today (we need armies of sex assault personnel to make it work as it is) would know putting women in combat makes the Chinese drool. This guy's moral courage is nonexistent or he is an utter fool for not speaking out against this stupidity. Tell me big Mr. Admiral, when in all of military history have men and women fought together in military campaigns. Sure women fought in their own units in WWII and having women in their own units is great. But mixing men and women in foxholes is the height of stupidity and speaks to this craven Admiral's fitness for leadership.

I am always amazed to be amazed at my age. Perhaps he is so inspiring and honest because he has kept himself out of politics. We assume he would not be manipulated by politics if he ran for office but the very nature of U.S. government cannot make every one of us satisfied, happy or right. Is this really his responsibility to run for office? I have watched several of his speeches and the theme seems to be "self" responsibility. If he was our president, would America be great again? Not unless every American begins to take responsibility. Shirking it off on him to lead it, well, I am not buying that this is the solution...but it would age him 20 years. Our media only makes it worse. Give him some peace and just listen to him. Hasn't he seen enough conflict?

ADMIRAL McRAVEN ON TRUMP AUG 16th 2018: In an op-ed published by the Washington Post, McRaven, a former Navy SEAL who led US Joint Special Operations Command from 2011 to 2014, not only called Brennan "a man of unparalleled integrity," but volunteered to have his own security clearance revoked in an act of solidarity. "Few Americans have done more to protect this country than John. He is a man of unparalleled integrity, whose honesty and character have never been in question, except by those who don't know him," McRaven wrote. "Through your actions, you have embarrassed us in the eyes of our children, humiliated us on the world stage and, worst of all, divided us as a nation," McRaven said of Trump. "If you think for a moment that your McCarthy-era tactics will suppress the voices of criticism, you are sadly mistaken. The criticism will continue until you become the leader we prayed you would be," he added. This is the same decorated Soldier who when he appeared on Fox News months back, was praised by Foxers. As long as Trump or Fox News says "love him" they'll love him. When Fox or Trump says "Hate him", they'll do so unquestioningly. Now when Trump sends them the signal they turn against him like the dumb-as, poorly educated knee jerk wolf pack they are.

Admiral Mcraven is craven and he is a fool of the highest order. He says that President Trump has divided us, he is a dullard. The nation is divided and has been divided. To be craven and try to just smooth over radical differences of opinion so we can do as Rodney King says "We can all just get along" is the height of stupidity and shows that our once great nation has turned into a place where idiots like this Admiral craven can inspire with simple thinking.

The man's incredibly accomplished and respected by both sides of the ailse, the same can't be said about Trump. As for you "TheCrackupboom", your response is simply one of the usual Fox/Alt-Right/etc crowd, and even your moniker "TheCrackupboom" and your ranting, immediately ID's & makes you look like a fool, not to be taken seriously. so goodbye.

No Dave, I like to win and I like for my nation to win. I know this man's moral courage and it is nonexistent. He says nothing of the stupidity of putting men and women in foxholes when that has never been done in military history. He says that Trump is dividing us; that is not true, we were already divided in our thinking and Trump is just saying what many people think. America is a spent nation anyway. It is on its last leg. My moniker stands for the last leg of America, although you are not well read enough to understand the great thinker behind the concept of the "Crackupboom". This Admiral Craven should be talking about the "Crackupboom" because it has so much to do with military power. He does not understand the link between military and economic power because he is a simpleton who will go along to get along. His truth is exactly what the leftist politicians tell him is the truth.

Okay, it's Ludwig Von Mises. "Brilliant" huh? Whew! He and the Ayn Rand crowd were all the rage for about 5 mins when I was in college in the early 70s. Look, lots of eighteen year old to go through this when growing up, but luckily for most of them it's a passing phase, like the "terrible twos" that are dropped in favor of fulfilling careers, relationships, friends, growing up, etc. I was about 99% sure from your angry comments that you were a true believer/Kool-Aid drinker, and had some pretty significant psychological issues, but you've now confirmed it, and since any rational conversation with crazies is itself crazy, bye.

When your parent want you to be a doctor but your dream is to become an army in camouflage uniform, there is a way to satisfy both sides: Enrol in a medical school, then join armed force. Be a military doctor.

@prospectorrat@gmail.com during 911 the beams inside the building reached temperatures that one can get in a fire stove with wood . How do you think the Japanese made steel? With wood and plenty of oxygen. This is how the temperatures were reached which bent the steel beams and lead to the collapse.

Trump has never been wrong. There is more to this man that only time can reveal. Whether he is a hero or something else can only be known in later chapters. Seal Team 6 was wiped out on 6 Aug 2011 when "extortion 17" was shot down in afganistan under his watch. The final chapters have not been written yet. Dont you want to know?
