I miss this series so much. At least I can come back and watch it now and then.
this series was seriously ahead of its time!
I keep coming back to this recipe. Today, I finally had ALL the ingredients, no substitutes. I followed this recipe exactly (well i added the maseca to the COLD milk and whisked it together to avoid lumps, then added the milk to the rest and heated it). IT WAS AMAZING! I thought I preferred a thicker consistency, but this was great!

I just watched another video. It’s supposed to boil for a whole 15 Minutes! I will try that next time, with this recipe.
Im so upset Tastemade changed the privacy settings for vast majority of the thirsty for videos, forcing users to obtain a membership to see them, talk about Thirsty for money 💰

My mom used to make this every weekend in winter and i loved it reminds me of my childhood
To the Filipino people: the Champurrado in Mexico is a hot drink that is usually accompanied with Tamales or sweet bread. As I understand it, in the Philippines is like a dessert (according to the reviews I read) but made with rice ... what ends up not being the same even if the ingredients are almost the same. Anyway, greetings to you ^^

+honounoya Let's just say Filipino champorado is chocolate rice pudding. It's my all-time favorite and call it the breakfast for champions. :D

I am Pinoy and it may be used as a dessert but I may also be used as a main dish eaten with a specific type of fried fish which pairs nicely with the sweetness of the "porridge"

Yes, Filipino champurrado is usually breakfast food, & chocolate rice porridge as two people stated above. Milk or evaporated milk poured in afterwards is an option. Salty dried fish or dried salted meat usually accompanies it as a great balance to the sweet porridge. Like someone said, we also have our Filipino hot chocolate drink as well which doesn't always use milk, & my mom, who was from Batangas, said they also used a molinollo (called something else in Batangas), to mix it as well.
so sad this playlist is no longer available to watch. it was literally the only reason I watched this channel
Love the unity of the songs used throughout the videos, they all represent their culture but also sound very 50's ish. Nice job to whoever did this. Videos are incredibly teasing and well photographed. Made my day.
filipino have a dish called champurrado too, but it's mix with glutinous sweet rice, no cinnamon & hot chocolate. it's really delicious! awesome recipe though! :)

The person got already fired due to the length of the video, too short . Sorry about that!
These videos were really great. Please make these content again. Thanks.

My family makes it similar with the exeption of anise and using left over masa when we make tortillias.
