Couple of things, first, neither gun fits Ben properly, have aq gunsmith fit the gun/s to Ben (Adjust length of pull, possibly cast). Second, one of the benefits of a Pump is the ability to keep the muzzle pointed downrange/on target when cycling the action. Ben took the gun off hi shoulder each time and cycled the action with the muzzle pointing more or less up. Lastly the ejection port is not the issue with cycling the Stevens as the empty shell was stuck in the chamber. Once free of the chamber it ejected fine. The Stevens needs to be looked at by a competent gunsmith. It should not jam with any 2 3/4" shell let alone light target loads.
