The roster of artists is just… wow. I was guessing Yonezu for the OP kinda as a pipe-dream but seeing his name pop up on the PV and hearing KICK BACK made my jaw drop. Dude is finally back on anime after three whole years and it’s on the most anticipated anime in a while. And King Gnu arranging? Not to mention we’ve got artists like Vaundy, Eve, TK, Aimer, ZUTOMAYO and so many others on the EDs is just a godsend. It would be a miracle if they can pull another roster like this for season 2 to give some more artists a shot on this insane series but even if it’s just back to one ED, at least we got this for season 1

Couldn't have said it any better :'] I heard KICK BACK the first time and was like "...🤨that can't be...not with that distortion" then rewinded and was like "OMFG HOLYYYY AAAH ITS REALLY HIM HE'S BAAACK 😭😭😭". Now, Eve is my GOAT, but uh...not sure there was a better choice than Kenshi for this OP. I hope UNCHAIN eventually gets a shot, cuz no one would've made more sense to have all of an OST for Chainsaw Man lmao

The only other anime that did something like this was Highschool of the Dead. Each episode had a different ending theme, sung by the same artist sure but that still counts.

Ninja Slayer has an original ED per episode too, but none of the artists were as big as the one on this project (except TK, cuz he did a Ninja Slayer ED 😂). It's not really that the songs are unique; it's that the profile of artists, labels involved, and thus money involved is hard to fathom. There are SEVERAL multimillion/billion dollar record labels involved in this, quite literally every major one you can think one (outside of Kings Record I think)

I can’t even explain how excited I am for this!! I know and love all of these artists and I’ve already been listening to the 30 secs of the OP that’s out since I got into his music in 2017 and I’ve missed his grungy and rock sound so much.. 🤧 I bet this anime is gonna rival demon slayer in popularity (or atleast I hope so lol)

I LOVE almost everything Kenshi puts out...but yeah, pre-2017 grungier Kenshi is nothing but HITS AND BANGERS 😭😭I need the full of that OP...he might drop an album soon tbh👀 I'm predicting CSM will be the 5th most popular anime on MAL by the time it finishes airing

@@Sutidamuskun I bet, that sounds about right!! But yeah I think my favorite of his recent works was Pop song. That MV tho… it was such a banger!! His slow songs have so much passion and emotion in them but they’re not the type I can put on repeat over and over. I love anything he puts out though lmao so I’m extremely happy he’s gonna be at the forefront of all these talented artists for CSM 👌😤

Feels kinda weird when KOTOKO still does songs nowadays. I remember Relife doing ED old songs but for Chainsawman, JESUS everybody wants their share of the cake

I didn't even know KOTOKO still made music ngl 💀💀And yeah, that's sort what I meant by this sort of being attempted, but it's usually like Ninja Slayer or Bunny Girl -- multiple peeps on staff covering the same song or a within-label project. THIS is bonkers 😵‍💫😵‍💫

@@Sutidamuskun, Spawn is essentially as such... guy dies in fire, goes to hell, is given powers while in hell, then fights various bad guys, demons, and monsters, as well as vows to defeat all of hell with the powers given to him. Very dark, very gory. There is obviously more to the story about Spawn, but Chainsaw Man seems quite similar with what I've researched. And it does look awesome.
