That speech was absolutely incredible. His use of poetry and the true emotion you can see in his eyes when he talks about Denzel is astounding.

Everything he said resonates so much harder knowing it’s coming from a man who knows his time is limited. Very true... R I P Boseman.

I still, to this day, think that Boseman was one of God's angels, sent here to "check up", and "be real", with mankind. Once he had fulfilled his mission, whatever that was, he was taken home to God's wondrous love. I also think Johnny Depp might be one of those, as well. Pure soul. But, clearly, his work has not yet finished. That's why he's still here.

you could tell he was already battling a disease here by the way how skinny he looks. There is a huge difference between when he first came as black panther and his last appearance as black panther. RIP

it must be so mindblowing to see the students that he sponsored so many year sago achieve things that have uplifted black people all around the world, and that have changed the culture forever. He couldn't have known that two decades ago he was sponsoring the next black panther, multi billion dollar juggernaut.

He was #trolled, #bullied, and called names on the internet for losing weight, when in fact, he was dying. Never ridicule a pain you have never encountered. Reminder that Black Panther made even more money than Batman v Superman. A movie about a previously unknown character outgrossed a movie about the two biggest superheroes of all time. Chadwick Boseman did that. RIP. 🙏

Truer now today than ever before.

This is more spiritual for me than I can ever articulate. No matter how I'm feeling whenever I watch this I feel ready to take on and conquer the world. And that line, "let he who has watered be watered" heals me every time!

Even then .... Denzel knew. He knew..... he knew what was going on with Chadwick Boseman. His eyes told me he knew the battle Boseman was fighting. It was so clear to see in his eyes. In his heart I have no doubt Denzel knew he was watching a King in his own right, fighting a fierce battle and yet selfless in his praise and admiration and thanks for all that Denzel had done for him....enabling Boseman to become the King. The tears were there in his eyes....and in his heart I know Denzel knew that the accolades he received that night truly belonged to the young man honoring him....Denzel's eyes honored that young man. I have no doubt Denzel felt fortunate,... blessed even,... that he had the opportunity to fulfill a dream of a talented young man....with the heart and strength and courage...of a King. This was Denzel's night to be sure...but his eyes also said... it would never be his alone. God bless both these great men.

Possibly the very best speech that night. "There is no Black Panther without Denzel Washington" How touching to see Denzel tear up, and also giving Chadwick a standing ovation. I've watched this about 10 times so far. Love them both. ♥️👏

Denzel was probably tearing up because he knew about the colon cancer. Chadwick's one of the few celebrity deaths that I feel on a personal level for some reason. Probably because he just seemed so authentic, well mannered and (weird word to say these days) noble. he just seemed like a great dude and was cut off too young. RIP king.
