I noted that you can input a change in tyre size, does this mean that the speedometer will now calculate the correct speed if not running own tyres?

@@allanpower8041 That's correct, for certain vehicles it can calibrate the tyre size to correct the speedometer. This scan tool can only do this for some Isuzu trucks though. Not soo much for the passenger vehicles.

Have you used this device to adjust for wheel size? Or for any other work you have done on your MUX?

@@ChristianJamesK It can only adjust tyre size for certain Isuzu trucks, not so much for the mu-x and d-max.

Excellent and detailed review thanks! I need a scanner to help fix speedo/ wheel speed sensor failure - I need to do checks myself as I have had no interest from mechanics wanting to do this. Please do more product reviews, they are great.

What a great find Nick. Great price too. I've sent them an email to see if the unit will support my 2002 Jackaroo Monterey 4JX1...fingers crossed. The best I've been able to get is a mates very expensive unit and it could only communicate with the transmission (TCU). All other units I've tried (some I've bought) just won't connect with any computer on the Monterey OBD port. (I'm pretty sure the Monterey OBD is not OBD2 - standard OBD connector though).

Hey Benny, if it's a 2002 model it will be just the old OBD system. OBDII was introduced in 2006 I believe. Great idea sending them an email. Hopefully they will have a scan tool that can do what you need. Cheers 😃

hey mate. looking at buying one of these for my 2018 Dmax. Can you confirm if it can show injector compensation values? Also wondering if the transmission relearn functions, steering angle reset and injector coding ect work on the Isuzu as these are some of the functions I reckon ill need for maintenance and a valve body upgrade in the future. Hey Zac, if you have a later model dmax it will have limited functions. It has software up to 2015 for dmax and mu-x. You can still read out data from ecu,tcu,abs,srs etc. On the 2018 but the service functions are limited.

Awesome video! Could you please confirm that this module does a dpf regeneration on the Isuzu. I’ve been trying to find one to carry out to the bush that assures me I can manually regenerate to get home if blocked.

Hi Reece, as far as I can see it can't actually carry out a forced regen on the dpf models with the current software. It may become available at a later date via an update. What you can do is a DPD regeneration data reset and DPD dilution trip data reset through the scan tool. If you email CGSULIT they should be able to let you know which scan tool of theirs can carry out a forced regen on the isuzu mux or dmax.

Nick. Does this work for the current M-ux and D-max (2021+). A lot of brands say they do Isuzu but only to read DTC codes. They struggle with higher bi-directional functions.

Hey bloody good job as always Nick. CGSULIT are unable to tell me if the 'change tyre size' function will reprogram my speedo for the almost 33's I've popped on my 2015 Colorado. They're not even able to tell me if the function will be available... I told them I'd buy it just incase and let them know if it works. They said thanks as a consolation I guess. Very unhelpful unfortunately. Judging by the fact that the function is visible when plugged into your beasty, I'd say it'll be all good with the Colorado. Though of course this isn't the only feature I'm interested in, does it look like that is indeed what that feature does and does it work do you know?? Cheers!

I had a try to see if I could correct the tyre size for my vehicle but it seems to be more so for trucks and didn't work for my vehicle. I'm not sure if it would work for the Colorado.

Hey Nick, have you used the live data mode to read wheel speed sensor speeds on your MUX? I tried it in a 2016 DMAX and nothing displays when driving.

@@LowRangeNick Hi Nick, I tried all of the modules using live data, nothing works on a DMAX other than voltage. The only other thing that works is the auto VIN, but I can get from the dataplate. I contacted CGSULIT support and it is non existent. Looks like this unit is a lemon, warranty is worthless., useless product. Typical support response, after I told them I have an Isuzu DMAX: Hi, Friend. if your car is holden from Australia? 1 You can try to enter into OBDII to check if it can read out live data. if it can read out? 2 You can try to use this device to read other car,check if it can show you live data. 3 if your this vehicle can read by other device? if it can read out data?

@@qualos0 Hi Tony, that's not true at all. I have read out data from engine ecu and transmission ecu on my vehicle. Have you plugged the unit into the computer and gone to the CGSULIT website and carried out all of the software updates? There is over 100 updates for the unit for all different vehicles and functions. Takes about 1 hour or so to update all of the software. Cheers

Hey Nick, I have 2017 sx dmax. It doesn't show when doing burn-off. Been told you can plug the computer in to turn on that function, is that true?

Just buy a scan gauge. And set up ur egts as a gauge. When ur doing a regen the egts will shoot right up to like 450 500 degrees. Takes about 10 minutes maybe and then ur egts will return to normal of around 350 t0 390 (vehicle and condition dependant). Prolly the easiest way to keep an eye on regens real time.

Hey Buster! The Np Pajero looks like it would run the older OBD system. OBDII was introduced in 2006 I believe. You may have to email or message CGSULIT to see if they have a scan tool that can communicate with the NP Pajero.

Yes, it can check the injector compensation values. If it's anything like the hilux it should be between +3.0 and -3.0. Mine fluctuate between -0.3 and 0.5.
