It's a big luck to find a teacher like Mark, a teacher in a wide meaning of that word. Thank you for your work.
Thank you Mark for your guidance and advice. Your speech and approach echo very much at this very moment in my life. You make the finance area so vivid and alive, so captivating. I would have appreciated teachers like you during my graduation. So thank you again for this valuable session. 🙏
This is so much knowledge thank you, know where I’ll be getting my 2024 material, thanks.
Dr Meldrum- I just have to say you are an absolute legend
Love it The way he explained all the things ❤️Hard to find a teacher like him ❤️I m from India and No one coaching is available near by my home I was frustrated after that someone told me about mark sir 🥺
Hi. Thanks for the video!

Thank you so much Dr. Meldrum for the informative sessions. Unfortunately I couldn't attend live due to different time zones here in Beirut. I am studying for level I and enjoying the journey. I am relying on the CFA to be my bridge to break in into the industry since I hold a bachelors in political sciences. I finished my CMA, last year so I am okay with many of the readings. Now I have an opportunity to do a masters in finance co-branded with SDA Bocconi (among the best business schools in Europe), and I am offered a 50% scholarship (remaining cost is around 7k). It's a very flexible program in terms of time requirements and assignments. Do you think I should do it in parallel with the CFA program, to better bridge that gap or the CFA would be enough? Thanks again.

@@AN-jb7dc Yes. My Bachelor's + previous experience got me into an international organisation as Admin/Finance Officer and from there my work was mainly accounting and financial management.

Thanks Mark. Would like to get your opinion on whats the minimum recommended duration to study with your Level 1 materials before taking the exam?
@MarkMeldrum

That depends on the person - some require more time, some less - so since I know nothing about you, using an average of 300 hours - either less than 300, about 300, or more than 300.
I was surprised to learn that the print curriculum has to be purchased separately from the registration fee. Historically the print curriculum was included.

You do get the curriculum in digital form with your exam fees. The exam and q-bank pack also includes the pdfs.

Hi professor, do you recommend studying for February 2024 L1 via CFAI books or some prep notes, like Kaplan, I really enjoy your content
@MarkMeldrum
Жыл бұрын
You get all the written content within the learning ecosystem with CFAI - no need for Kaplan books.

@@MarkMeldrumis it not the case Mark that the books by prep providers are written in a much more digestible way and simply things? Thoughts appreciated thanks
I’ve been diving into the Free 2018 Content - is it relatively similar to the 2023? I recently had a career change and am still gauging my schedule to see if I can take Nov 2023’or move to Feb 2024 L1 exam. Thank you
Hey Mark, I am reading Schweser Notes for L1 and at the beginning of the Economics part, it asks us to read the 3 assigned readings from the CFAI as prerequisites for Economics Level 1website for people like me who are completely new to the subject... I DON'T SEEM TO FIND THEM ANYWHERE ON THE WEBSITE.. COULD YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THEY ARE AND WHERE I COULD FIND THEM?
@MarkMeldrum
Жыл бұрын
Not sure where on their site they would be. If you have access to my site, the pre-reqs are in video. If not, register for fee access, and it is the first 3 readings in the 2018 micro folder.

@@MarkMeldrum Got it.. Thanks a ton! Also are the Schweser notes completely enough to cover everything for the exam L1? Afterall its a shortened version (Notes) of the whole curriculum. I won't be missing out on anything, right?

With a move to the module approach, the CFAI readings are already condensed - no need for Schwesser. All you need will be in the CFAI Learning Ecosystem.
