Ive just ordered 1 of these to replace my Pan European that i use as a winter hack for IAM training. Was impressed with the level of equipment and the test ride. But what really made me hand over my hard earn't, was the 4 year warranty and breakdown cover. Im interested to see how it looks after a British winter or 2 though. Great review by the way.

I enjoyed this video. I’ve recently come across this bike and I’m really impressed with it. This is from a guy who has bought a 1250 Triple Black GS in March of this year. It seems to have all the bells and whistles (apart from the extra ponies) of the GS but at half the price? And my GS hasn’t got heated seats.

Hey up John, there are some great bikes out there and as I said if your not a badge snob, then these Chinese bikes are proving the things we crave as standard 😲, ever since I rode it it's been in the back of my mind wether to buy one 🤔, don't think you could go wrong, I also have a GS and find it a bit too much sometimes and craving for something smaller 😉, thanks for watching and dropping a comment, much appreciated, ride safe Simon B 😎

I bought mine a week ago here in the US, and Ill say, its actually better fit and finish than some of the new "name brand" bikes Ive looked at recently. So far seems to be an exceptionally well built and stable bike. Its slow speed performance in town is absolutely amazing compared to my KLR and the Versys I was riding.

Lack of traction control slight issue but right wrist solves that (old school). 24:21 .New model has it but 2K dearer.Remapped fueling excellent result.73y.o. coming off an K1600GT

I believe there is a download correction to sort out the throttle problem done directly from your phone. The J.J. Juan brakes are rebranded Brembo too.

I test rode this bike yesterday, It was loned to me all afternoon, unfortunately I brought it back to the dealer after an hour, the fueling was the worst I've ever experienced on any bike, it was awful, a bit snatchy didn't cover it, I tried to change the mode which was really complicated, you have to enter settings and alter it that way, a proper faff, Its not that I'm inexperienced I've been riding since the late 70s, sorry cfmoto I was so disappointed 👎

Hi Simon, I took one of these out for a test ride yesterday and was a little disappointed; perhaps listening to the hype too much. I was testing it for exactly the reason you mention, I'm knocking on now and the GS is getting a little heavy. I've bought a Voge 300 Rally for going off road and now I'm looking for something lighter to use on the road, I've always preferred the sit up and beg type bike as opposed to sports bikes so this did appeal to me. It did do the cut power momentarily thing on me as well but not sure if maybe I caught the gear selector slightly and the quick shifter got confused. I didn't like the windscreen; it wasn't tall enough and my face got a lot of wind in it, the screen and adjustment mechanism is to quote a phrase "Very Chinesey". I had GoldWings for years so got used to smooth engines, when I changed to a GS it was obviously a big change in lumpyness but this 800 seemed even lumpier than the GS, I have no other twin experience to compare this to so perhaps you could give me your opinion on how it compares to other twins you've ridden, I may have just been letting the revs drop lower than I should and should have changed down. Some reviewers have said it is a comfortable seat but I have to say I thought it looked and felt like sitting on a piece of hardboard, it certainly has enough grunt for me but I do like the power of the GS when you want to get passed something quickly.

Hey up Mick, I liked it, some things I didn't, it's the KTM 790 engine, maybe ride the KTM 890 adventure, the only twins I have rode are the boxer or v twin, the inlines a little different, but you get a lot of bike for reasonable money, what's not to like , ride safe Simon B 😎

@@SIMONB1 Not been out on it much to be honest, too busy fitting all the stuff from AliExpress and a Chigee AIO-5 Lite that I'd ordered prior to the bikes arrival. Been on a few short rides and you definitely need to keep the revs up or it becomes very lumpy, it hasn't done the temporarily die on me thing like the one I test rode at Appleyards so hopefully I've got a good'n.

@SIMONB1 at this stage no date apart from rumours of the 2024 update. I'd say mid, late next year. It's trying to stay in touch with Benelli TRK 800 specs.
