Cesar! My dog won't walk on the leash! (Aggressive Australian Shepherd!)

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

In this Dog Nation Episode, I help Kim and her Australian Shepherd Mix, Luke.
Luke's main issue is trusting other humans. He gets aggressive and tries to bite them.
Kim wants to give him a better life.
Can Cesar help solve this case?

My dad was a double amputee and my brother lost a leg in a motorcycle accident. If it weren’t for their prosthetic maker my dad wouldn’t have been able to walk despite having no lower legs. My brother was just too big and refused to walk. I miss my dad so much. We donated all his unused socks and even his prosthetics back to the guy who went to Cambodia and used the extra parts to make limbs for the people there. In the United States you can’t use parts that were given back.

I bet that nun of you woman know what you just saw. The women treated her dog as more important then her by letting the dog acting selfish, growling is bitchy, will not do what the dog is told by its master. The actions of the dog reminds me of a feminist's treatment of her husband. Cesar teaches the women to be manly and to not take no for an answer to teach the dog, but women that don't see their man as in charge have essentially made him a friend and not a husband. “Masculinity - strength, courage, independence, leadership, and assertiveness.” Women, are you letting your husband be that definition to you? Masculinity is whoever is telling who what to do.

You can tell Kim really truly loves Luke. Her heart is in a great place, I wish all people were like her and don't give up because their animal was abused. My rescue American Staffordshire Terrier named Taco was neglected and probably abused too. You wouldn't know it as he loves people and dogs. It's so important to remain calm with your dog, they feel our energy. He is continually teaching me patience, even though neither of us have much of it. lol. I'm so glad I found Taco and he's mine. I have never loved an animal so much. Everyone should have a dog, they are the best companions and make your life that much more richer.

“Do you dislike your parents? But they sometimes make you do things you don’t want to do” - this is so simple yet so wise thing to hear. I have problems with interpersonal relationship bc I am very often afraid that if I do/say something that contradicts another person, they will totally dislike me. I don’t have dog and don’t plan to have it because of the lack of empathy that I have and because I don’t feel wise enough to take responsibility for a living being. If I was to draw a conclusion to most of those videos, is that changing dog's behaviour takes way less time, than the behaviour of the owners. It's all about those subtle differences like response to a ceertain situations, the body language, the proper performance of gain-reward system. It's not like people learn slower. It's just hard to change the habits and things which are crucial for controlling dogs.

People do more damage to their dogs because they're trying to protect them. This lovely woman has a huge heart that she is using to beat her dog back into the past with. I'm a retired airline pilot, but I also spent almost 15 years in law enforcement, among other things as a backup k9 officer. I grew up on our family ranch in west Texas, training hunting dogs and our cattle dogs, but my stint as a k9 officer made me fall in love with German shepherds and Belgian malinois. My wife and I converted our ranch into a german shepherd rescue after our last child left home, and due to my military service I train service dogs and donate them, generally to organizations like wounded warriors or needy individuals, not only vets but more often than not. We have developed a reputation for successfully dealing with aggression/bite cases, which is very rewarding as they are often one bite away from the grim reaper. I have no problem dealing with the animals, whats difficult for me- and where Cesar has helped me/us SO much, is in understanding the actions and motivations of the humans involved.. I will always be profoundly grateful to Cesar for giving me the tools I needed to interact successfully with the people in these instances. Telling them that they are the problem without putting them into fight or flight mode was a difficult lesson for me to master.

I applaud her for getting help and learning how to handle a rescue dog. So many people get rescue dogs I feel for their own moral fiber/personal satisfaction, take ZERO time to learn how to behave/interact with the dog and help it, and then they end back up in the pound or leading a life of fear.

Oh Cesar made me CRACK UP when his eyes got big and he fell to the ground when Kim gave too much affection after Luke started to follower her when she walked away. Cesar said he can't see why Kim can't see it but it's the nuturing side of women that was coming out if Kim. It's also like he said...owners taking on the guilt of the adopted dogs past. She doesn't even realize how she is weakening the dog. She has to get over thinking discipline is mean. Discipline is not abuse (if handled correctly). Discipline in fact shows love (parents and children need to learn this as well). Be well and be at peace.

I have rescued so many dogs and cats throughout my life in South Africa, England and now Australia and I felt the same way Kim did. I was over protective of my animals . Thanks for a great new way to look at training and letting go of the past of those animals now they are in a safe home 💗🐾

Kim was to emotional that's why she wasn't getting results. Cesar revealed to her that she was not helping the dog but doing just the opposite. Now she got it! 😃p.s. if u adopt a disabled dog please be fully committed to its needs and educate yourself as a pack leader...🥰you both will be happy for it.

I have a rescue and she will not walk on leash. She’s to scared to go out front or leave the house. She freaks out riding in my truck and it breaks my heart. When we inherited my brother in laws pup when he passed and he has helped Red to go into the living room and kitchen. She stays in our master bathroom most of the time but is coming out more now since we got the other dog. This video has helped a lot in maybe getting Red (she’s an 8 year old Red Healer) and we’ve watched her heard her new friend in the back yard, which is amazing. I just want her to have a fun life and enjoy going places. I know nothing about her past only that she was left at the dog pound. She was one day from being put down. Thank you Cesar, you are awesome!!

Asking questions so they can better understand is a good thing. It shows that they want to follow his advice- but need to understand his thought process. If they don't get it, they will revert back to doing things their own way. It's far worse to not ask any questions- then after he leaves, question everything and go back to their old ways.
