It is amazing! It seems that the only people that really know how to handle a camera are those that photograph surfers. Absolutely amazing!

Amazing the difference in paddle n tow in by the riding .. tow in more edge .. manuverabiliy alittle more time to react .. .. paddle in great skill and even greater committment.

The guy riding right toward the camera at 3:50 gives you some idea of how rough it is.

Its funny how after a couple years coming back here to troll the comments, and seeing all the negative comments about the song. I remember watching this video for the first time. It was early in the morning. Had just took a nice bong ripper. And this song with the visuals, almost brought me to tears. Music is a taste i suppose. Some lile broccoli and brussel sprouts and others dont. To me, this video was a lobster tail with a glass of krystal 😂

Waves are terrifying. Ive been tossed in an 8 foot wave as a kid and snapped an expensive bodyboard and almost drowned. I cant even imagine a mavs wave

I was going to comment on how badass those paddle-in guys are but the guy (who I assume is Kai Lenny) at 4:13 absolutely demolished that wave. Ripped the face up like it was a 5 footer.

Mavs and Cortes are the two best big wave videos to watch. Something about watching people surf those two locations. A huge Chopes would be 3rd.

Let me guess ... Some editor had a hissy-fit meltdown, screaming, "I don't care what you all think about my favorite song, it is MY video and I am going to use it!!! So there!!!"

But now days the tow in guys are starting off deeper putting them in the main bowl barrel so the beatings are more severe and it takes more time for ski to get to you. You won't see you or I doing either otherwise we would be in this video.

Marc Laky I hear ya. I’ve surfed big waves but nothing that big. It literally takes very little skill to get towed in and I’m surprised more people haven’t been killed getting towed in. Paddling out you actually run the risk of getting caught inside.

Kommandant Franz - Yes, zuma back in 1969 was great,,,, it was the 60’s and lots of pretty girls,,,,, as today there often were big heavy sets rolling in after a storm and I remember feeling if I was gliding in slow motion when body surfing , wearing my duck feet fins…… it seemed like several seconds ride…. Would leave the water, lie on my towel and stick my hands into the warm sand and close my eyes…. Back then you could sleep on the beach.... not legal but no one would bother you and would wake up before the crowds and find spare change dredged up by the machine preparing the beach…. Would pay for the hot fogs from the food stand…… there was also no paved road along the beach to point dune so could go down there and spend the night in peace….. often partying with beach babe friends….. damn….. nice being 16and 17!

I would have liked more take off footage (watching them stand up and catch the wave like the beginning of the video). After the beginning, the surfers were already standing up when the clip started. Awesome waves though
