I really liked that pot that you thought was a failure. Every one has different tastes and views. Merci.
The last pot glaze IS really amazing, beautifull color and not to much shiny one, that fits perfect for old trees. Those effects are great, I love It!!!! Thanks for sharing

All the best for your event! Routines are killers of creativity, nice to see how you keep the surprises. That last pot- glaze was so cool, matt on one side, glossy on another. The fishes are wonderful

I'd love to start trying to make some pots as a little fun thing to do. I always hear how important the thickness of the walls needs to be. How thick do you usually make them? Would the bottom be thinner or the same size?

It's better if the walls and the bottom are the same thickness. Usually I make it 8-10mm thick. The right thickness is the one you are comfortable with and enjoy working with.

Thank you. I've never made foxes, but it's a good idea, I'll think about it ;)
Beautiful work Greg, I really appreciate your work. I have begun to take pottery classes and want to eventually make my own pots. I’ve purchased a wheel and some tools. I’ve been looking for a kiln. Do you suggest purchasing one that can get to cone 10? Are all you pots fired at cone 8?
@Greg-ceramics

Yes, I fire everything in cone 8. I don't know if it's the same thing everywhere, but in France, all the kilns that do cone 8 also do cone 10. If you do classes, and you have already the possibility of having access to a kiln, I think you should wait as long as possible before buying one, you will know better what suits you over time.

@@Greg-ceramics Thank you for responding. Kilns are definitely a big investment. Thanks
Can i ask you what type of glazes do you use? Where one learn how to do them? Thank you and beautiful videos

These are homemade recipes, I make all my glazes myself. It's difficult to learn how to make your own enamels with a video, it's not very visual, it's a bit like a chemistry class where you have to do a lot of calculations. I'm preparing a video on glazing, but I won't go into the "calculation of ingredients" part as it would be indigestible for a KZread video.
11:34 I'm usually in Belgium once a year to visit my relatives there... unfortunately not in February... I would love to see your pots.😟 Will you be exhibiting later in the year?
