Lubomir Moravcik should have been a worldwide legend. Absolutely baffling that he never went on to win European honors or play in any prestigious major club (except for Celtic!) Celtic legend!

Lubo and naka are the two best players with the ball at either foot I've seen at Celtic so gifted

Moravcik was technicaly more gifted than Nedved ,Nedved was a great player and made right move from Sparta to Lazio and Juve ,Nedved was super combative style player vs Lubo sublime style of football .Both great champions !

I remember when we got him. We were told we had a player that had scored so many goals, captained his country, took all the free kicks, could use both feet etc. but not given his name. Then we were told his name and searches told us he was a trouble maker at Duisburg and that he was 33 yrs old and were thinking: what the fuck have we bought, not knowing that he was a fuckin genius and wishing we could have bought him earlier.

I saw him play for Bastia in France and he was already brilliant there. And then you can only respect someone who was cited by the great Pavel Nedved as his idol.

Absolute genius,without a doubt the best and most skilful player I ever had the pleasure of watching in the hoops (I'm too young for Jinky), wish we'd got him 10 years earlier. Thanks for the memories Lubo and thanks for signing him, Dr Jo. My favourite Lubo moments were the goal at Castle Grayskull and the time when he trapped a long ball with his BACKSIDE on the touchline at Celtic Park.

Fucking dude was a nailed on footballing genius. Could have played for anyone in my opinion. One of the best players I've ever seen at a live game ever.

When Lubo Moravcik left Czechoslovakia to play abroad it was early 90es and that time we hardly had any decent football agents in my country ,so players can end up anywhere ...in his case St.Etiene in France.... ,did he had a talent to play for a bigger club? No doubt about it ! He got a offer from Olympic Marseile which he declined ,staying loyal to St.Etiene .Olympic Marseile eventualy won Champions league ... I think ,that is one decision he may regrets ,but than again as a Slovakian Im very proud and happy that he played for Celtic and won tittles and hearts of Celtic fans ! It was fitting end to his carrer as a footballer
