Couldn’t agree more, I think his presence and leadership has helped CalMac as well, and he will be sorely missed. Hopefully he has a role in the future at our club, with his experience and knowledge big Joe would be a great asset for any dressing room.

I think some people in England, especially an England captain might have thought they wouldn't be welcome at Celtic. Joe has shown nothing could be further from that. Joe gets Celtic, the fans and we love him. Thank you Joe, forever a Celt.

@@felina7849 we’ve just won the league, again. The big yins played his part hugely this season, at points our best player when we were really struggling and the chips were down. I would consider that before analysing some shortfalls in his game mate, just my opinion.

His presence within the squad was equally as valuable as his playing attributes. Glad he proved all the Celtic doubters wrong. All of those fans who called him "arrogant " "pompous " " an English so and so" In the end, he turned out to be the opposite of those things. An incredible signing on and off the park Glad to hear the praise for Scott Bain and about humour. Too many fans give opinions that he’s not good enough why getting contracts etc but to be a supportive number 2 and work yourself into the ground every day knowing you aren’t gonna play and not be disruptive is class. What an impact Joe has had on this club & its fanbase. Long before he came here I’d held this negative view of being an English big head who probably hated Celtic & would fit right in at Rangers. I got it totally wrong. He’s not only joined our great club, but he’s become an ambassador & a leader who’s loved here now. Big Boruc was always my favourite, but I think Joe has now taken that spot!! One of the nicest gents to pull on the shirt. I've been critical at times, but he always gives his best. Even in games where we've fell short, he's always one of the main men going around with a smile on his face lifting the players spirits.
