Thank you people of Laredo...and thank you Yo Yo Ma......I also watched a video on youtube of Leonard Bernstein the renowned conductor of the New York Symphony introducing Yo Yo Ma in 1962....at the age of 7 years old when he and his family had moved from France....They originally came from China.......Yo Yo and his sister who was 11 years old at the time played a concertina of a French composer...she played the piano.....Leonard welcomed Yo Yo Ma and his family who were immigrating to the USA at that time.....As a Chinese American with parents who also immigrated to the USA.......I am proud to be an American and proud of the people of Laredo who were at the border with Yo Yo Ma...and proud of him!!!!

Yo-Yo Ma delivers a beautiful message of what most of us value, not the twisted hateful message of our President and his followers. I am in the winter of my life here, and I hope and pray that I can live to see the new spring day when we return to and embrace those values inscribed on the plaque inside the pedestal of Statue of Liberty once again.

To borrow a phrase, the "overtones" of his act will reach more, in more ways, than casually appreciated. The symphony has begun. And the chorus of humanity will soon take up the score. Bernie Sanders may be the conductor, but we're all in the orchestra together, and we each have our "part to play." People get ready...there's a train a comin'. Don't need no ticket...you just 'get on board.'
