📘 Funny History
I first tried learning FWG soon after getting 7BG, in december 2021/january 2022. I grinded for about a month or so, then my PC died and I couldn't play Celeste for a few weeks. By the time I got my new PC, I was too rusty and stopped the grinding. My PB at the time was Wingsprings (DT-12, at 12:16), which I reached twice.
I decided to get back to FWG about a week ago, on 23/08. I had to relearn everything, but I had improved a lot at the game since my first attempts and used much better strategies, so my progress went a lot faster.
On 29/08 I started doing full runs and beat my old PB by one room (DT-13, 12:28)
The next day, I beat my PB and immediately went all the way to Stubbornness, Reconciliation, Farewell, ... only to die to the fricking golden room. Here's a recording of the run (warning : very sad) : • Farewell Golden - big sad
The next day (today), I did it.
The run overall is pretty clean - much cleaner than my first golden room entry. There's a few close calls in Reconciliation (as usual), and a clutch save at 10:29, but nothing too bad. And I nailed all the extra stuff I wanted to do (including bubsdrop at 25:00, like a true g4mer). Honestly, there's nothing else to say about it. It's everything I wanted.
