That's the issue actually. Celeste is about giving you a space to beat your own demons, even if it needs to be painful and conflicting. Seeing a bot beating the crap out of them with no issue is actually super sadening.

@@saikakasashi3689 The bot, in a certain sense, went under a process of honing and sharpening itself. The devs haven't figured out the best path on first try, took a lot of time, re-tries, thinking, etc., but eventually they managed to get their bot to perform as good as it was meant to. There's been a lot of work and grind behind the bot beating Oshiro's Hotel in a handful of minutes, surely much more time than we spent on figuring the level out ourselves.

TerminalMontage Madeline: *DASHES AT LIGHT SPEED*

When I first time heard of Celeste and its speedruns I was expecting high speed and techniques but NOT THE LAST BRAIN CELL JUMPING FROM ONE CORNER TO OTHER!

Props to the devs for supporting and watching a robot tear apart their carefully designed screens to save a few frames

Side note: 41:13 "I believe we have not collected any berries from the forsaken city section of summit." At that point, we collected 1 forsaken city berry, since there are 4 berries before city, and by this point we had collected 5. One from 500m, One from 1000, 1500, 2000, and 2500.

Celeste but Madeline gets the zoomies and falls up the mountain.

I like to imagine TASBot is a small robot child that just plays the game his way

Badeline: You're not a mountain climber! TASeline: Hold my strawberries. Promise you won't need to hold them for long.

"watch this next screen" *cant see anything happening because im still taking in information*

“Your not fit to be a mountain climber- “Oh i can probably scale that in 45 minutes or so.” “...what”

I love how it seams that Madeline is straight up flying in some parts of this Speedrun.

I’ve watched this video too many times, it’s so hype and yet so calming at the Same time. seeing it masterfully analyzed and broken down to frame perfect inputs is so amazing, you can tell so much love was put into every second. of this TAS.

Underrated

Its always really cool to see some of the strats that were considered TAS only become part of a human route.

Sonic: *Blazes by, knocking Eggman over* Madeline: *Blazes by Sonic, smashing a pie into the back of his head*

Jesus, that hyperdash on the C-Side! While completing it I found it easy to get the first 2 switches but the entire screen? Jesus... Good work to everyone who worked on this TAS. Just amazing.

Something to keep in mind, that movement puts Madeline off-screen and deadly objects off-screen don't have collision. Madeline is literally invincible after doing that hyperdash.

Rewatching this in 2021. Crazy to think the world was normal two years ago, feels like it’s been a lifetime

I mean unless they changed the title, it says every RED berry, since golden berries also exist but they didn't get them.

The problem is, saying 'Strawberries' would also have included the golden strawberries from the C-Side levels. So that makes sense. (am I being r/wooooshed?)

Of course A full sized mountain at full speed will kill anyone

I have actually done the seed exploit where you touch the ground and keep it. I was *VERY* confused when I did it.
