We can say what we want to say, but Bill Cosby shaped a lot of respect for how black TV shows got representation, he demanded more black writers, producers, and directors. We can say what ever we can say about Bill Cosby, but he shaped the TV shows for us.

Deep down I'm sure it didn't make him feel good.. What a strong man he was to tuck his feelings to the side and just push on so he could take care of his family... People act like words don't hurt.. They do. I remember Janet saying they were taping her chest down at that time because she was filling out... She said it made her aware of her weight and didn't make her feel good about herself... Yeah, we've got to give Mr. Lear his props for those groundbreaking, qualitative sitcoms! People always say that JJ made the show, that JJ was the funniest character, but TO ME, John Amos as James Evans MADE the show! It was evident when the character was killed off. The show just never was the same to this Good Times fan. The way Amos/James, the father figure, discipled JJ, Michael, and Thelma, worked hard to support them, and loved "DAMN, DAMN, DAMN," was what I enjoyed the with GT!!! That's just me! And man, was Mr. Amos HILARIOUS, with people in and not in the Evans family!
