While I appreciate the basic slice-of-life approach, the ending was extremely underwhelming and completely ruined this episode IMO. The episode kept teasing that the thing Dante was trying to bury was either a dead person or something completely embarrassing for him. Instead, all it was was ice cream. It was a very bad execution

Let's be real, sometimes we ALL refuse to share our ice cream. That is also why I always prefer to keep my ice cream in the freezer in my basement refrigerator.

This episode was alright. Weird how Dante of all characters got his own episode, but he was pretty well handled for the most part. Though the reveal of him hiding and hoarding his ice cream was a lame reveal. But overall a decent and harmless enough episode for one of Lucy’s friends. 6/10

It should have been Haiku. If you are going to write an episode about a member of the Mortician Club m, why not focus on the Best friend of Lucy!?

This episode was ok. Dante is the funniest character out of the Morticians Club. So it’s nice that he got an episode here. And it’s nice that he shared his ice cream in the end with his Mortician Club friends. 7/10 And by the way, it’s my birthday today was your putting this video up.

It was interesting to focus on a character NOT a part of the Loud family something we haven’t seen since the previous seasons "A Stella Performance." I liked the general mystery of it but felt the reveal of what Dante buried a little weak, I like Virgil and his interactions with the gang and him trying to help Dante out, the ern-knee shovel-gate’s joke (I got my name is pea-tear-griffin from Family Guy vibes with it) and the joke with the sprinklers). I am glad the club didn’t get too upset with Dante over his deception. I also thought that the name of the ice cream was a clever pun, honestly it’s something that “Ben and Jerry’s” would have come up with! My negatives are again that I feel that the reveal that Dante JUST buried his favorite flavor of ice cream cause he didn’t want to share it to be too silly and selfish. Now I didn’t need to be some big emotional thing but would have preferred it to be something embarrassing he was hiding, like a love of something that’s not macabre you know? Then again the Morticians' Club already learned that they could enjoy “normie” things in "Sand Hassles" so maybe it’s a good thing they don’t do a plot like that again. I’m also not going to question why he thoguht buying it in the ground was a good idea, carton logic and all. So yeah it’s not bad but in terms of Morticians' Club episodes is probably on the lower list. Still, I think it’s a decent episode and while the most unique thing about it is that it put the focus on a non-Loud family member or one of Lincoln’s friends, I still think that’s a good thing. Hopefully they will do the same to other characters in the near future. 6/10

I'm actually surprised by your thoughts on what lies beneath. While I think Dante was really selfish in this episode. I can definitely understand your thoughts and why Dante did, I get it he's 9, but still. But at least Dante apologize. But at all, I just wanna see Lucy and Haiku smile. 6.5/10 episode then. Great review, homie. Have a awesome Dynamite Wednesday. ❤️😎🤙🧨💥

All that for freakin' ice cream, but sharing is caring. Overall, it was an improvement from the other Mortician Club's episodes but......it was still eh to me. 😅 But great review as usual, bro and I also accept your opinion on this episode. 😁

Well, I’ll admit, while I still not like this one compared to other episodes featuring the Morticians’ Club, after hearing you state that this was a slice of life take on a group that’s all about ghostly deeds, my dislike lowered a little. Not much but a little. But to be honest, I would’ve loved this episode so much more if it was either Lucy or Haiku, and if the secret was a bit more revealing, like for example, Lucy’s Princess Pony comics or something as a little callback to Sleuth or Consequences. I don’t know, I just felt like this could’ve been a lot better with a different character and secret, but I digress. Also I don’t hate Dante, he’s ok, but I feel like he could’ve been given a better plot. Anyways, fantastic review, home slice, I respect your opinion, and I hope you have a Dynamite day today🧨😁❤️.

I thought this episode decent, but it's the ending that I definitely have the biggest problem with. It would've been more interesting if Dante was hiding something he was embarrassed by instead of a secret ice cream stash; the whole lesson about sharing, if you ask me, feels kind of patronizing toward the show's target audience. Honestly, I'm a little surprised you rated it as high as you did.

I see where you’re coming from. The ending was a letdown and I’ll conceded to that. However, just from my perspective, it was hardly the worst ending to an episode. I guess seeing a kid driving himself crazy over an ice cream obsession just hits in a way in which I can’t help but lightly chuckle.

This episode... I suppose it was alright at best, I mean. Yeah, I don't have too much to say since, while it did feel better than the other episode featuring the Mortician Club, Dante of all people having an episode of his own, and with that reveal being rather a cliffhanger imo... Yeah the episode wasn't really too bad, but otherwise, I don't really have a lot to say about it, so I'll skip to the rating of 7/10

Despite this Season 7 Loud House episode going back to the slice-of-life roots and even that a Loud House episode focusing on Dante didn't seem like a bad idea, unfortunately, the overall execution and even with this episode being another "Liar Revealed" plotline as well too. Though on a different note, I never thought that I would see Dante of all people become very addicted to ice cream and even selfish of refusing to share his ice cream to other people too. Score: 5/10 ⚰️🪦🧟🍨🍧🍦

Just realized, Dante has a cat named Vergil. Is that a Devil May Cry reference or that a reference to something else WHILE being a reference to Devil May Cry. By that I mean, I know there's a connection with the names but where did it come from first like the very very first time if it was before Devil May Cry

I think its more of a reference to the "divine comedy" (which Devil may Cry uses for a LOT of its references not sure never played it) more specifically "Dante's inferno" in which the main character dante is guided by the ancient Roman poet Virgil through heck (not saying what is it to aviod offense).

This episode is pretty much like most mortician clubs episodes pretty boring and forgettable Dante is hiding a secret that he barely under the ground and then his friends discover that the grave has never been there before so they decide to make a brand new gravestone for this mysterious ghost by the name of Ernie shuffle gate so they go to the store and buy a grave, but every single time Dante Try to stall them, and it works, but then they decide to make a custom gravestone so Dante Put a rock in the groundskeeper lawnmower to make a look like a ghost is driving his lawnmower then digs up the grade that Ernie is supposed to be in the mortician, club catches him, and it turns out that the secret that Dante was hiding, turns out to be ice cream all of that for some goddamn ice cream what a stupid secret to be hiding and apparently he did it because he doesn’t want his friends to eat his favorite ice cream, which is cookies and screen also known as cookies, and cream, so Dante decides to share his ice cream to everyone. Oh, and by the way, that ice cream should be melted there is no way in hell that ice cream has been buried for like two days and it’s still solid that should’ve been soup, so yeah, pretty disappointing. Morticia‘s club episode that I actually did have hopes for but instead Dante Was was kind or relatable to me because I don’t like sharing myself but still, he was hiding a goddamn ice cream

What Lies Beneath was just decent. My only issue is honestly the twist. I guess it does work, since it was established early on that Dante has a hard time of sharing, but I was kinda expecting more than just… Dante buries his ice-cream underground because he doesn’t want to share. Felt tame, even for TLH standards.
