This is definitely another unexpected surprise. What’s funny is that I think this is definitely one of the more decent episodes of the show, and still have a good time with it, whenever I watch it with my cousin, as we always enjoy the nostalgia of the good times with the show from 2016-2018. But these critiques are all true, and they definitely cannot be ignored because while I understand Rita’s reasoning, because of the daily stress with her family, the thing is, if only she was legit honest with her fam from the beginning instead of doing all of these ridiculousness, it would’ve been absolutely better not just the episode’s quality, but Rita’s reputation among the fanbase. But despite the craziness, I still enjoy it, and bro, I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed LJ’s silly flaw regarding her superstition and Lincoln not noticing his book in front of him😂. Great review, home slice, I respect your thoughts👍, and Happy Mother’s Day to you, and everyone else.😊❤️

This episode wasn’t that great for Rita’s first main focus episode. The fact that she essentially became a criminal just cause she wanted a break.😑 Though the cop herself was rather nice for me personally, especially since she let Rita off the hook(as contrived as it was.) Thankfully later Rita related episodes are way better.👍🏼 4/10

Honestly for me, while you definitely make great points with this episode, I personally really enjoy this one all because it is a much better version of No Such Luck. Everything done in that episode is much better handled here. There’s a very good reason to sympathize with Rita than with Lincoln, she received a fair and not an over-the-top punishment, and most of all, there’s no family abuse. 8/10

One thing I really don’t like about Rita is how often it appears to be made abundantly clear that she doesn’t enjoy having such a large family, despite the fact that she and Lynn sr had a choice in it!!! The episode with Lana and the fish told us that her and Lynn sr advocated for the equal rights of women, so they are clearly a family who values family planning to some degree. Lynn Sr, for all his flaws and dramatics, adores being a dad to all eleven kids, and I just don’t see the same devotion from Rita. I don’t doubt that she loves them all, but most of the time it seems like she’s avoiding the chaos as opposed to embracing it. What makes this even more annoying is that the kids get overwhelmed sometimes too, but they didn’t choose to be part of a big family. I just think it’s really telling that Lynn sr focused episodes tend to focus on him wanting to be with his kids, while Rita often focuses on avoiding them. This even rubs off on some of her better episode outings, like Undercover Mom. The scene in the beginning where Rita is trying to connect with her oldest daughters doesn’t really make me feel sorry for her. First off, I think the episode wants you to believe the girls are being bratty to their mom by ignoring her questions, but I always read it as them being shocked that their mom is making an effort to talk to them. Like, they are caught off guard by it and don’t know how to respond. I understand that most mornings things might be more chaotic and Rita was trying to relish in having a moment where she can talk to her daughters, but it just seems like Rita wants the kids to open up to her only when it’s convenient for her. That’s not how being a mom works, she doesn’t get to be the one to decide when her kids need her. I mean, she literally says the girls haven’t opened up to her in YEARS!!!! That is totally on her for not striving to maintain that relationship. I do appreciate how the scene where she’s in jail does show her actually enjoying motherhood for brief moments, but it’s not enough to save the episode.

I agree that Rita wasn’t being the best parent in this episode (to put it lightly), but I don’t dislike it overall. There were some funny moments, such as Lincoln not being able to find his notebook despite it being stuck on Lynn’s dirty jersey, who was standing right NEXT to him, and Lisa’s cake with a file in it. I also like the ending. Rita may not be a good parent in this episode, but she is truly “one lucky gal”. I give this episode a 7/10.

You know it's saying something when Lincoln (their 11 year old son) can manage to handle all ten of his sisters, plus his parents (if we were counting the episodes where he gives them the most basic moral advice possible) better then Lynn Sr. and Rita could ever do tbh, like this kid has a lot of emotional maturity for someone his age compared to those two who hide in their room or run out of the house whenever there is something as simple as a fight breaking out, or worse, Lola getting angry.

I can totally see your points. Rita works hard and everytime is chaos at home. But her actions were like what the heck. But yeah I agree, the kids expect their mom to try to get things done. But they don't realize how hard rita tries to do her part as a mom. But your right, she doesn't need to do tactics to get away from her family. But getting locked up, it realize how she was acting. I can totally understand your honesty bro. Rita was just much a criminal than a stand up mom. So I respect that. I'll give this episode a 6.5/10 in my opinion. Great review as always homie. First off, can I just say that this was the perfect episode to review for Mothers Day? On to the episode, I think that this is a good episode. It’s nice to see Rita do community service to like get away from the loud’s which is almost sounds similar to The Mad Scientist from the exact same season or Garage Banned from Season 2. Also hats off to Jill Talley for the excellent voice work as Rita. Probably the highlight for me would have to be when she’s hanging out with the squirrel. I thought that was pretty cool. However if there was a nitpick I have is the fact that while Rita was doing community service she was also racking up tickets for the jobs she did. And I thought the ending was sweet to see that even though she was in jail her family wanted to talk to her. Luan’s joke was funny. Overall, while I do think that this is Rita’s best episode she’s done, I don’t think it’s that great. So in that case I’m going to give it a fair 7/10. It may seem like a bit low, but hey at least that’s a good thing.

This is one of the reasons why I don't like Rita that much. She may not be as awful as Timmy Turner's mom or any other South Park mother. But she's somewhere in the middle. Rita willingly and intentionally broke the law just so she doesn't have to be involved in her kids situations and shenanigans. That is just God awful parenting. She didn't even show any sign of regret of her actions. This episode was Rita's equivalent to No Such Luck.

It’s funny last week you reviewed an episode I disliked and you liked and this week you review an episode I liked, and you disliked. I do like this one, but you brought up a lot of really good points about why it doesn’t work as well as I thoguht it did. Like you said I understand where Rita is coming from in needing a little “me time” away from her family but that doesn’t really justify her actions does it? I guess tis nice cause this is he first episode that focused mostly on Rita in a starting role but once you take that away and look at the other episodes that also had her as the lead this one starts to fall short. Maybe if they had made the squirrel she befriend in it be her morale center like hops was for Lincoln in "Wheel and Deal" and “"Toads and Tiaras" like it could stare in at in judgmental way when she tries to justify what she is doing or maybe the police officer could have taken Rita aside and told while she understand where she is coming from Rita should enjoy the moments she has with her kids, even if they Are crazy, before the time comes when they will move out and she will be just left with the memories. 6/10
