Hi i’m having this same code pop up in my 2011 Nissan Murano brought it to nissan and they’re saying the transmission is no longer usable skmething about the solenoids. The car at first took a while to accelerate and would usually start to pick up when i would go down hill after maybe 20 more minutes i couldn’t even make it up a hill without it rolling back down.

After replacing a step motor do you know if you have to recalibrate the vehicle?

Thanks for the video. I have a weird lope/ momentary loss of power. 4k drops to 2k and comes right back up. I suspect a sticking stepper motor. I’ve thought about getting a remanned valve body. I do not have a code though. It could be a bunch of different things. It’s driving me crazy. I can’t remember a time when my Altima didn’t do that. Seems random but tends to happen more often when turning left. Also when it’s cold. Engine can be warmed up but the first drives of the day are when it happens most. On the way to work and coming home from work. Idk how to sum it in one question but, in your opinion do you think that could be possible? Sticking stepper motor? Also suspect a clogged fuel injector. I’d appreciate any thoughts you may have on this. Thanks.

Please help, my Nissan altima 2008 2.5s stocked up in first gear, won't go beyond that, after diagnosed with computer, P1777 code was detected, today I took it to my mechanic, he service the gear, and test drive, it worked, after few seconds, when the car warmed up, it got stocked in first gear again. Now I noticed That ATF fluid was used to top up the gear oil instead of CVT fluid.. Please I need your help, what should I do?

A Nissan P1777 Code is a "Step Motor Circuit Fault." This code may be hard to troubleshoot. It could be a bad transmission, the wiring, or the TCM (Transmission Control Module). Tests will need to be done to find the issue. Be sure to check the fuses, especially any fuse labeled TCM.

​@@HVAC_Mechanic Friend, I have a question and I wanted to know if you could help me and I don't know if this is the beginning of my transmission starting to be damaged in my 2009 Nissan Maxima, everything works fine and I have no problems accelerating or anything like that and when I brake everything is normal, but The problem is that before stopping completely the car seems to skid or give a push, and I don't know if it's a transmission problem or something else.

I think it's internal stepper was installed correctly

I would check the wiring.

what a nightmare this is why my nissan is manual transmission 😂

I replaced my step motor and about 2 hrs later the light came back on with the p1778 code

Same here man could it be the valve body need replacing ? car still goes everywhere it doesn’t get and worse so my transmission cant be bad right ? usually a bad transmission goes out fast so im thinking maybe change the valve body?? its a 2014 Nissan maxima. Please help i just paid about $5000 for this car 4 months ago 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

Stuck in 1st Code p1778 Replaced step motor then test drive it warmed up then went back into limp mode and thru pending code for p1778 again and intermittent oil pressure light on /off

If the part is good and there are no other codes, it is likely in the wiring

Wiring on valve body or…

I have a 2009 nissan morano and I change the stepper motor as well as the whole valve body and it still giving me the p1778,p0746 I'm have no idea what else I can check can you me help me please

A P0746 code is Pressure Control Solenoid “A” Performance / Stuck Off. Were both codes there before replacing the stepper motor? I would check the wiring and test both solenoids.

Hey man watched your video thank you for the input i have the code p1778 i took it to a mechenic they said transmission needs to be replaced and i took it to nissan dealer and they said the same thing transmission needs to swapped out. The transmission only got 92000
