I like that last feeder. I love seeing you cows and now having babys. It brings back memories when we lived in Texas.

Great information about hay rings! I agree that it's important to monitor hay wastage and consider what it's costing you. Keep up the great work.

Appreciate you watching. Yes, the Baxter hay rings work really well. They’re just so expensive. I ended up buying several of the cheaper ones just for convenience, but I’m trying to buy 1-2 good ones each year.

I still don't know how he's going to get that bale roll to fit inside of that ring Why did you stop the video until it was done

That's some good looking hay you're feeding out. Was that kept inside a barn? I had a field of stockpiled grass that I was counting on getting my cows through a good portion of winter but the field turned into a soggy muddy mess with all the rain we've had so I went yesterday and bought 12 more rolls of hay to get me through. I paid $50 a bale which I thought was an honest price given the circumstances. It was the last 12 rolls the guy had available.

No, that was not barn kept. I was lucky to get this hay. It was outstanding hay. Unfortunately, I paid more than $50/roll. Wish I could get more. I’m going to be about 40-60 rolls short. I planted rye grass in a few spots, but it really didn’t come in strong. I’m praying for an early Spring. The new style rings are a winner.

Can you show updates on the cone feeder and how the material holds up? It looks like the mass produced bolt together rings that are sold at the big box ag stores. I couldn't get them to last more than 2 years. I purchased 2 of GoBob's and I'm sure I won't have to replace them in my lifetime.

Hello, thanks for watching. So far they’re holding up ok. They are not as durable as a GoBob. I’ll have some feeding videos this winter and will update them at that time.

I've seen a few videos where the bextra ring didn't hold up. Are you still liking the Tuff feeder?

Hello, the Tuff feeder is Bullet/bull proof. My bextra is showing a lot of surface rust, but still performing.

The main deciding factor on wastage is how tight the bale and grass length is , tight bales less waste

I think so. OSU has a KZread video doing research on the different rings you might watch. My bulls wasted a ton of hay until we got this one.
