And if there are members of the Catholic Church who have committed high-profile sins and transgressions against God and humanity, it's not because they were Catholic, but rather because they were not Catholic enough. They have disobeyed, and followed their unruly passions instead....And we all are capable of these, for which reason we need God's grace and help all the time. And to the Church, the Bride of Christ, He has entrusted infinite means, merits and measures for us to reach Christ ❤

I think envy also takes root in one's own journey not fitting the expected plan. You feel denied a blessing that others receive and take for granted. It's not always an anger towards their success as it's a "where's mine" mentality.

Indeed that attitude of "where's mine" is common, especially after seeing a 'famous or well-to-do' persona in social media....I however heard of a person who overcame envy by counting his blessings by keeping a gratitude journal of daily little things, as well as big and medium. He never ran out. He only ran out of time at the end of the day, and didn't manage anymore to bash another 😊 Also, an older actress can always realize that the younger one will also age one day... And while poor folks have small debts, rich folks have big debts (not only money-wise, but in terms of accountability)....Then you'll realize you'd love just right where you are in life, with your skills, gifts and graces, and infinite Love ❤️ , all of which you have not really tapped into (because you were so busy looking at another person's journey, and realize how low your goal was in doing so 😊)

I would like to make a clarification. People not only envy others as a result of their success. An old rich woman can feel envy towards a poor young woman just because the young woman possesses youth. A miserable angry person can easily feel anger and envy towards a person who is always happy and comfortable. An ugly successful man or woman, can feel envy towards an attractive man or woman who is just starting his/her career and has no experience built yet. Envy can develop even for the qualities and physical appearance the other possess, it is not only about success 🤷🏻‍♂

Really, does "Catholic BISHOP explain a CARDINAL SIN to HOLLYWOOD Indian ACTRESS PRIYANKA Chopra" in this video? Nope! As a Catholic, it's really not nice for you to put this type of false title. It shows you are trying to get people to click on this video through this title when your video doesn't exactly match it. You're just combining Father's and the Bishop's video with her video. They're not actually having a discussion. Please be true to yourself in your methods of posting. Thank you for understanding.

@@JDcatholicEngage this wouldn't be a subjective opinion but an objective one because it is objectively wrong. Are you really showing a video where PC is actually having a conversation with Bishop Barron? No. So that's wrong. Your title suggests something that is not true. As Jesus' followers, we shouldn't show or suggest something that is not true. We are called to set our minds on the things above, not on earthly things like getting views or clicks on a video. I understand these things are important on KZread but we should surrender these things to God to take control of before these things take control of us. He would want His followers on KZread to focus on the content they provide that will glorify Him in some way. Just think over this - whether Jesus would agree with the title of this video or not and the reason why and then, you'll get your conviction needed through the Holy Spirit. Another thing that's not right is the thumbnail. You're falsely implying that Bishop Barron and Father Mike have had a conversation with PC. You can't just include their names and visuals in your content initially implying something false. If they would see your video with the thumbnail and title, they would wonder why have you put this title and thumbnail when they never had a conversation with PC.

It's not about focusing on your own journey, it's about not desiring the life of someone else. Recognize the blessings in your own life, and that in others and celebrate the gloriousness of God. Yes, one may be more blessed than the other, but what did God ask them to do to achieve those blessings, and what is He asking you to do? Between David and Saul, Saul ended up serving the world, where David served God. And Saul's envy stemmed from feeling God leaving him, then he saw David rise and instead of celebrating it, he wanted it and tried to take it by attempting to take David's life multiple times. If Saul repented an stopped trying to kil David, he probably would have prospered again in a different way.

Envy is an emotional response we have that occurs when there is conflict between how we perceive ourselves and self-worth and how we see the external world and other people (which is in relation to ourselves)... It is more of a nurture than nature thing, and yes in some cultures especially those that value social status and caste systems this is inevitable. It's a sin because we should see ourselves and self-worth in relation to GOD....we are told to simply be in this world rather than of it.... therefore we should desire closeness with God and for that to be the essence of our identity instead being God-like (owning, controlling, being admired).

Many peoplen justify their sin with so many excuses but they are just, that excuses. It is interesting though that in the main it is ealousy/envy of those close to us 'a friend' maybe family member, co worker, not a meaningless (to your life/environment - random, not affecting you in any way shape or form) stranger

0:41 - May I . The short Answer to the the question Why do I suffer from enviousness I? Consequence of SIN. - 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 According to the word of God, EVERYBODY has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. ❓So what is Sin ? Any thought, imagination, word or action that rebels against God. Why was Lucifer thrown out of heaven, because he thought in his heart to be like God. The "operational word being "thought". Can a mortal be greater than his creator ?Can a mortal know more than his creator ? Can the creator of time, space, matter and energy be greater than those who "dis-covered" them. Adam and Eve did the same sin - to think that eating the fruit they would become like god in terms of knowledge . Lucifer knew God and ever since he was cast into earth he wanted the creation of god also to rebel against god. The identity of I am self made is pride - Whose breath are we breathing ? Doesn't our bodies return to earth when the breath in our nostrils is stopped ? May the Lord God give us the desire to know truth and HE WILL *help us to find the truth*

First of all, envy/jealousy as the Church defines it is actually the sole primary motivation for pursuit of virtue, as the claims of the saint you cited are not only false, but completely heretical: men *do* actually covet the virtues of the virtuous; so St. Ambrose by claiming otherwise was a heretic *while* at the same instant being a canonized saint; hence the whole of the majisterium is heretical and completely false. Second, we come to the topic of pride, that actually creates mercy in the egotistical, yet humility actually brings man to *hate* anything even remotely greater than the least of us all; to the point of porpousfully ruining the morals of the holy and the destruction of the Consecrated Host being endorsed out of His status as the "most high" to destroy any possibility of there even *being* a "most high" at all, period; yet pride is what enables me of all men to approach God to make up for my sins; it is likewise humility that seals me against Him and all that's eternal in a genocidal war that can only end with the complete eradication of all that is or even was thought to be immortal; solely for having been, even in error, described to have had that trait. Envy, simply put, is what brought me, along with the forbidden kind of pride, to serve my neighbor, so no, those never ever were any form of deadly sin, nor great vice, as they led even *one* man to Christ's definition of serving his neighbor; whereas humility shuts off that door forever! It is *humility* that really says that my neighbor's up the creek, even that I fully *intend* him to go to Hell solely because of his alleged "need" for my assistance; assistance by the way that I'm by *anybody at all* not agreed to be free to give to him- and that "anybody at all" *DOES* include those in Hell; if there is *any one being* that doesn't freely give his firm assent, it is *humility* that prohibits forever any obedience to God or helping neighbor at all!

Roman Catholics are misunderstanding Matthew 16:18. The confession that "Jesus is the Christ the Son of God" is the only foundational truth that Christ builds His church on. Peter’s confession is the rock. And therefore each member of the congregation must begin their own personal transformation journey (born again) with their own personal confession of faith that Jesus the Son of God is the Christ.

@@bellaBella-ps2fy Hallelujah, By the power of Christ may we all be free from the Satanic bondage of cult mentality. Peter's confession is the rock. The overarching matter is personal transformation by the Holy Spirit (being born again of the Spirit). Personal transformation (being born again) is not the result of joining any organization on earth. It is a result of responding to the revelation of God's gift of His Son (John 3:16). In Matthew 16:18 Christ says on this rock He will build His congregation, and that requires a foundational truth. The truth that God revealed to Peter IS the foundational truth of personal transformation. Therefore, Peter's confession is the foundational truth of Christ's congregation. The foundational truth of who Jesus is: The Son of God. The Christ of God. The GIFT of God. Therefore, Peter's confession is the foundational truth. And this confession is shown multiple times by the NEW believers of the Christ of the New Covenant church. Also, In the New Testament it says that Satan, the chief priests, and others who murdered Christ did not want to accept this truth. 1John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. 1John 4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. Disciples confessed: Matthew 14:33 And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.” Samaritans confessed: John 4:42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world. centurion confessed: Mark 15:39 And when the centurion, who stood facing him, saw that in this way he breathed his last, he said, “Truly this man was the Son of God!” John the Baptist confessed: John 1:34 And I have seen and have borne witness that this is the Son of God.” Nathaniel confessed: John 1:49 Nathanael answered him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!” Martha confessed John 11:27 She said to him, “Yes, Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world.” Ethiopian eunuch confessed: Acts 8:37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Saul confessed: Acts 9:20 And immediately he proclaimed Jesus in the synagogues, saying, “He is the Son of God.” Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. Finally, new believers who confess have accepted the God’s gift of His Son the Christ, must continue to accept the truth that the Holy Spirit is revealing to them. Thereby building on the truth and being transformed. Isaiah 28:9-10 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: Mark 4:24-25 NLT Then he added, “Pay close attention to what you hear. The closer you listen, the more understanding you will be given[a]-and you will receive even more. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them.” As you accept the new truth of the Holy Spirit then you become transformed by the Holy Spirit. This personal transformation leads to full submission to God through Christ (not my will but Your will be done). Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
