CATHEDRAL AMBIENCE: VOL II | 1 Hour of Relaxing Pipe Organ Music for Meditation, Study, and Sleep

Музыка

The ambience of a large cathedral, the soothing quieter sounds of a pipe organ, and 1 full hour to relax and drift off. I began this series as a way to show the pipe organ's calmer side, and to improvise meditative music over a long stretch of time. This is Volume II, and features images I took in Liverpool Cathedral, UK in January of 2022. Enjoy!

If there’s any one instrument that makes me any happier, it’s the organ. Thank you for bringing me back a notch with this transformative experience of gorgeous improvisation and the lushest registers of one of the finest Henry Willis instruments ever built. I feel very much as ease, I thank you for that. 😌

I had a friend who for 40 years was a professional relaxation therapest here in australia who worked with people with mental issues to help those have a better life. At the time he would have loved to use this type of music for the benefit of his clients, he passed away last december 2022 at the age of 90 and on his behalf, i would like to thank you organist for all three recordings of which i have here.

Amazingly wonderful! I've always wondered what would happen if I improvised a prelude like that on Sunday morning. I can imagine looking out from the console at a congregation of closed eyelids or glassy eyes. Really beautiful. Thanks so much. And, I can also imagine Ernest Skinner sipping a martini, thinking, "yep! He understands."

Hey man... I don't mean to be repetitive but thanks again. After a few weeks of listening to these inner landscapes, I can only say thank you for that moment when you thought it was a good idea to record yourself in front of (three?) stacks of keyboards and tubes. When I most needed to put on the table everything I've done wrong during the last years, these endless pieces fell from the sky... this gave me infinite moments of inner peace, enough to be able to draw conclusions.

No worries about being repetitive, I'm just so glad you have found some peace from these videos, that's what they're here for. The goal in everything I play is to reach at least one person through the music, and it means a lot to hear what you're saying about these ambience videos. I plan to create some more in the very near future! Cheers :)

Thank you!! Funny enough, I think the noise is the sound of crickets chirping outside the church when I recorded it, and I believe it's the white noise you're hearing, or maybe it's the air from the pipes. With live performance, stuff like this sometimes happens!

Best wishes to you, and I hope this slow melodic music can help you find some calm 🙏🏻

@@aaronshows True, but I think this noise was the recording itself. I understand that wind noise from the blowers is normal. This noise was just crazy loud, almost 50% of signal IMO. Anyway, no big deal.
