As many as I want. There’s no rod limit in NC

My grandpa always would say, you know what a third fishing pole is for? Someone who can't fish with one.... this video is exactly that...... and to catch slimy desease carrier's..

First off it’s spelled Disease. Secondly I can fish with 1 or 100. Everyone that’s reputable tournament anglers in NC,SC and VA fish exactly as I do. We were bought up and taught like this by our grandpas. Strength by volume. You clearly have no education on “disease carriers” as you call it. A very large population of people eat catfish from these waters daily and haven’t been placed 6ft under pushing daisies for eating contracting a sickness. This is the south.

Damn he got like 50 rods out. Be crazy if he still got skunked lol

Here in NC everyone that catfishes tournaments uses 12+ rods. We have no rod limits here. Fishing with anything less isn’t enjoyable for me. It feels awkward

Hey buddy quick question why use a lip grip i fish for Pike here in Northern Ireland they will cut you up if your not careful handling them but we dont really use boga grips or lip grips here because they damage the fish so much.

I only use them on blues. They like to bite down and twist and will rip your hands up. The bigger blues not so much. Anything over 30lbs I dont use fish grips on because the weight of the fish put alot of pressure on the jaw. I try to support the bigger by the belly as well

@@infamouscatfishing awe cool that answers that up here in Europe we have a species of catfish called a wels catfish I've only had them to mid 60lbs but in places like the river Po in Italy and Ebro in Spain they grow over 200lbs we use gloves to chin them out because their teeth are like the world's most aggressive sandpaper it dosent so much cut you it more rubs the skin off you so a good set of gloves are the way to go.

I’m very familiar with the Wels! That’s a bucket list fish for many anglers here in the states including myself! Our record blue here is 127 in my particular state but that holds no weight to a Wels!

u should have kept the body section in case you run out of heads

These were already filleted out for the grease so I only had alittle rib meat and heads left over

It’s a custom design by Fishbite Rodholders. I took him my boat and told him what I wanted and he nailed it!

I’m up here in Minnesota we can only use one line per person. Crazy ya get to use that many lines. Looks fun but do ya get many tangle.

In NC we have no rod limits so we grew up fishing with multiple rods and learnt how to cast and fight fish without very many tangles. I can count on one hand how many times I’ve been tangled into another line in the last 5 yrs.

Damn that's alot of rods! You got 2 grand in rods reels and hooks alone!

I prefer to keep natural baits without scent. I have tried scents in earlier days but only caught channels and smaller blues

I do drop baits suspended down when I fish deeper water. Usually 15-20ft or more

Look for shallow water with mud churned up. Use night crawlers on the bottom. If you use red worms and float em above the bottom then regular gills will take it.
