    What a shitshow. Less is more. 4 rods will do exactly what that amount of rods will do. I would hate fighting a fish amidst that mess.

    When you learn how to fish with strength by volume it’s easy. Essentially every catfish angler in VA, NC and SC fish exactly as I do. I rarely ever get tangled. I have no issues with it. If all I gad to fish with was 4 rods I’d be pissed

    My grandpa always would say, you know what a third fishing pole is for? Someone who can't fish with one.... this video is exactly that...... and to catch slimy desease carrier's..

  • @infamouscatfishing

    First off it’s spelled Disease. Secondly I can fish with 1 or 100. Everyone that’s reputable tournament anglers in NC,SC and VA fish exactly as I do. We were bought up and taught like this by our grandpas. Strength by volume. You clearly have no education on “disease carriers” as you call it. A very large population of people eat catfish from these waters daily and haven’t been placed 6ft under pushing daisies for eating contracting a sickness. This is the south.

    Hey buddy quick question why use a lip grip i fish for Pike here in Northern Ireland they will cut you up if your not careful handling them but we dont really use boga grips or lip grips here because they damage the fish so much.

  • @infamouscatfishing
    @infamouscatfishingАй бұрын

    I only use them on blues. They like to bite down and twist and will rip your hands up. The bigger blues not so much. Anything over 30lbs I dont use fish grips on because the weight of the fish put alot of pressure on the jaw. I try to support the bigger by the belly as well

    @@infamouscatfishing awe cool that answers that up here in Europe we have a species of catfish called a wels catfish I've only had them to mid 60lbs but in places like the river Po in Italy and Ebro in Spain they grow over 200lbs we use gloves to chin them out because their teeth are like the world's most aggressive sandpaper it dosent so much cut you it more rubs the skin off you so a good set of gloves are the way to go.

  • @infamouscatfishing
    @infamouscatfishingАй бұрын

    I’m very familiar with the Wels! That’s a bucket list fish for many anglers here in the states including myself! Our record blue here is 127 in my particular state but that holds no weight to a Wels!

  • @infamouscatfishing
    @infamouscatfishingАй бұрын

    In NC we have no rod limits so we grew up fishing with multiple rods and learnt how to cast and fight fish without very many tangles. I can count on one hand how many times I’ve been tangled into another line in the last 5 yrs.

    Look for shallow water with mud churned up. Use night crawlers on the bottom. If you use red worms and float em above the bottom then regular gills will take it.

    ... At 5:42, on your double hook rig, looks like your line is fed from the back side of the hook eye instead of from the front. I always have, understood and everyone else feeds the line in from the front of the eye, the hook point side. Please explain. Thank you and thanks for taking the time to make the video. .

    I see what you’re saying. I went back and looked at the video segment. It’s through the front however I think what you’re seeing is the tag line. I use my tag line the attach the second hook instead of clipping it

  • @infamouscatfishing
    @infamouscatfishing Жыл бұрын

    A good rule of thumb with cats..a scaled fish will have a harder return than a skin fish like a cat so that’s where your more yellows and reds come into play. I’ve found depending on how the beam hits a cat they’ll be more red with alittle yellow on the top of the arch. I will make a video soon about locating them. I can identify them by the arch in most cases.

  • @infamouscatfishing

    Thank you!! I’m going to keep them coming and should be better quality fish as spawn ends! I did have Mul T Bars on my other boat and nothing wrong with them, they worked well for me. When I got this boat I just wanted to utilize my track system as much as possible without drilling holes in the boat like I would have to with the base plate on mul T bars so fishbite custom made the ones I’m using now to work in my track system.
