Catching Plenty of Fish from this Florida Keys Bridge!!!
After finding my favorite fishing spot in the world infested by sharks, who were attracted to my chum slick and live and dead baits. I decided I would only return using lures. Much to my surprise I had a blast of a day catching plenty of fish from this Florida Keys bridge.

Hey man, love the channel but honest question - why are you chumming? I'm sure you wouldn't have anywhere near the amount of sharks around if you skipped the chum 🤷♂️

Gotcha. You mentioned chum and had a cooler full of chum in your last video at the same spot but I wasn't sure how/if you were using it.

I grew up fishing off these exact same bridges. So much fun. Great video man...brought me back to the old days. :D
I once road my bicycle from Miami to kw,back to Miami and then to Tampa on a pedal bike..brought my fly rod and fished all the way. Rented a skiff at marathon key..watch out for the raccoons 🦝..

Me too but I'm not afraid of heights *over water.* As we say in SCUBA diving, _"there's no splatter factor"_ (like there is in *sky* diving). But yeah, I'm good with 2nd floors but from the 3rd floor on up I don't wanna be near the edge!
That poisonous fish looked super sketch! :) awesome vids.

@Dillon a bridge not far from my place over the river where I live I'm going to fish. It's ideal I seen because I can get the whole width of the river. It's especially awesome because there's a near by coffee shop I can go to so that's why it's especially ideal. I hope to bag some stripers I got nice gear to bag stripers. Soft plastic eels swim jigs to put larger soft plastic fish an have a swim jig that looks like a Sand eel coming that I know stripers love. Hopefully I'll make out catching a striper
😂🤣😂🤣 almost 600 pilings damn you went pass my house 😂🤣😂 been there done that Mr. Snarky or also called “Tax Man” came by to collect what was due to him AKA Bull Shark Nice Video Man to bad I didn’t know you were coming down or else I would have fished with you there. Back in the day we used to fish on top of the Bahia Honda bridge then it was condemned, try next time going to No Name Bridge good place for the kayak as well.
Great fishing! What size reel were you using there? Florida Keys fishing is definitely a bucket list trip for me! Keep it goin', love watching your videos

Good move with artificials. People get stuck in the same spot all day with bait. It's good to move around. I like monster 3x or power prawns with 1 oz or 1.5 oz depending on current and wind. The Vudu shrimp are good but they are too light to me. If u get the bait down deeper u can get muttons, grouper and hogfish too.
Which is the best bridge down in the keys for yellow jacks?
Hi I came across your KZread channel when I was searching on tips on how to fish off the 7-mile bridge. I live in Miami and I've driven 4 times to the 7-Mile bridge, I usually get there around 11 AM and fish from the beginning of the bridge. I use chum, and live shrimp to fish but I never catch anything 🙁but then I watch videos like this one and I obviously know that I'm doing something wrong. When are you coming down again, maybe I can join you?
Do you know the coordinates for that bridge?
Try squid with 1/0 - 3/0 hook next time... an economical, and tough bait. *** Nah, your line didn't break, you got sharked. Tight lines.
Born and raised in Florida and have fished off many many bridges from top to bottom of this great state both East and West coasts and have caught every kind of fish out there BUT I HAVE NEVER USED CHUM - - - EVER - - EVER - - not even from boats and that is 78 years of doing this - yes I started fishing when I was born just like I started swimming and diving very very young. . . . . You CHUM you will attract sharks for miles. . . just sayin' . . . I also think you are using way too light tackle for bridge fishing.. there are some monster fish down there and that light rod isn't going to cut it . .you also need either a gaff line or a net like that gentleman had for bridge fishing. . .
What mile marker is thus
what bridge is this?

Hey just curious do they have any flounder down there?

Hey, if you are fishing in Florida...watch out for lionfish, they are an invasive speicies and are very poisonous.....if you catch one, just cut the line, their poison would send someone to the hospital.....great video as always!

Theres a lot of people in Florida that actually keep lion fish to eat. Its very white meat, you just clip the spines off and you can fillet them!!

@@robscards6313 I know they hurt a lot if mishandled but haven't ever seen any cases of someone being hospitalized. There's absolutely no need to panic and cut the line. A dehooking tool will work just fine or just handle with care same as a saltwater catfish
I live in key west and am planning to shark fish tomorrow on one of the bridges, wanna come?

Yeah dude , you need to invest in a good penn sen. 6/0 or 9/0 and put a few hundred yards of a good 60-100 pound mono. Or at least a 4/0 Penn with some 40-50 lb. Then get yourself a good strong 400+ cable with a sharp big hook . Start taking these little fish your catching like that jack and put a hook in their AZZ. Then we can have a good time ! I mean I get fishing for these small fish if it's something your gonna take home and eat . Snook, red, trout, or flounder ( my favorite out if the bunch ). But otherwise let's catch something that won't let ya forget about it so quickly. Something big and strong that 3 days later your still feeling it and give ya that " hell yeah" I caught a 7-10 foot long bull , tiger, or hammer . 👍. Thats the type of blast I'm talking about. Or drop a little stingray down by those structures for big ass grouper, or a catfish for a 150 pound tarpon . Yeeee f-ing hawws yes let's have some fun ! 👏🥳😃🤠
What was your rod and reel setup there?

Like every other fish, sharks swim. They are there one day and gone the next.
Those are spanish not cero mackerel

@@dillonfishing I’ve been fishing the bridges in the Keys before you were born . Small spanish mackerel swarm around just about every bridge in the Keys during the winter. Cero’s are found more in open water and over reefs/shipwrecks. Plus they are known to be a non schooling fish, so when you said you could see them in the water that implies they were’ schooled up” which Spanish macs do but ceros do not. While it is possible to catch a cero from a bridge it is an uncommon occurrence and the ones that are caught are usually in the #3-5 pound class. In the hundreds of not thousand) of days fishing from a Keys bridge I might have caught a total of 5 ceros.
@dillonfishing

You can clearly tell by dashed lines on cero as opposed to spots on Spanish. There were no spots on these fish.

Florida protects the sharks so the population becomes an epidemic and eats all of the sport fish that you catch....It's sickening.
