Zebco 33 is a nice backup reel to always have on hand. I like spinning reels myself as I have more control over the line when the line gets into a bird-nest and line tangles. However, spin-cast reals like the Zebco 33 are simple to use and when one is out fishing and runs into a problem with their main fishing reel, it's always good to have a backup reel these days. With gas prices (and inflation) steadily getting higher every 2~4 weeks fishing is getting more and more expensive every year. The Zebco 33 is a good all round reel for anything up to 4 pounds. Anything larger I would have to go with my spinning outfit.
