Well done sir ! I’ve just started fishing again after 40+ years & have been astonished at the complexity of todays modern rigs Yours is simplicity itself ! As the lake I fish has a max size 12 hook rule knots especially any that go through eye twice are a pain to tie My eyes are 40 years older !!! The single flexible loop connection to hook is brilliant Andy

I use pretty much the same rig for all my fishing, only difference is that I crimp the loops. I even use it as a helicopter rig, with a heli-swivel at the line end. I do like the idea of a short piece of tube, as opposed to an anti-tangle sleeve, so will use this in future. Thanks

As the hook length or boom is so strong, do you need to use even higher lb main line so that if it snaps, it will snap on the hook length? Then the fish is only carrying a bit of hooklength and not loads of line? Or am I overthinking it?

It appears that your " size 4 " is not a size 4 that I would buy at any store here in the USA. From what I can tell that has to be either a size 2 or maybe a 1 or 1/0 . a size 4 is very small here. I think I could use a very small hook but I cant see why I would do that.
