Good luck on your midterms! And I've experienced this before. If I see alot of black little spots on the fish I won't keep em. But that's just me. But as long as you cook it good it won't hurt ya. Keep up the great work!

Oh well, I had an experience like this with finding parasites in my fish at the beach surf fishing, and though excited at reeling in some good looking fish, was told by locals that over a certain size the species that I caught, Black Drum typically would be infested over four or five pounds in size.

Fun fact, almost all freshwater fish have parasites, hate to ruin eating them for you 😅 but it's totally safe if you cook them all the way through which only takes a couple minutes
