Hope you see this comment / question. Have ptosis of both eyes & cataracts. This condition is creating monocular diplopia in main eye (left eye too weak to matter). Suspect this issue is permanent and has induced irregular astigmatism in the cornea(s). Current docs won't correct ptosis until after cataract surgery, as ptosis is sometimes induced by the cataract surgery. Fine. Let's do the cataract surgery, use a toric lens & possibly a little laser work to fix the irregular astigmatism. Eyes heal up, still have ptosis which will still induce the double vision again immediately. So ptosis surgery now fixes droopy eyelids, and the astigmatism the ptosis caused again goes away, hopefully. Or becomes permanent again? Does this screw up all that surgery & toric lenses?
