19:16 the more efficient play is to use road builder to settle 910, then road settle on the 810 3:1 port. You have uncontested road connects that way and no risk of getting plowed or cut off (if the board had better players)

I was thinking use it to settle the 9,4 plowing red and than roads up to cut off oranges road connect. Nearly takes both out of the game and blue is only at 3 points and no one has army play so even though they fight you, it would be a long time till someone could catch up and/or get army.

⁠@@Renkin26that’s valid but you don’t get a 3:1 port with that play. And with only a brick port, the extra wood and wheat just clog your hand

I did think about this, however leaving orange with road becomes a little bit dicey where he could easily road settle and pull a vp. I felt like If I just took road as well as 1 3:1 that turn then my % of winning was extremely high.

Love the 6-5-10, that 8-10 3:1 is always open on this board. On low ore boards getting high production and a good port is always strong

At 24:53 you say building up allows you to extend but you can reach your max road length of 14 by building roads around the 6 wood and 8 sheep.

I wonder if 5 9 10 towards sheepport is a good first pick with 10 8 3:1 or 8 4 Wheat Brick is a valid plan. But lets see how this Board plays out. =) Thanks for your awsome content

you need to work on your trading, I think the lack of playing 4 player games for a longer period of time really shows, you offer WAY TOO MANY useless trades which just ends up annoying other players. For example, wheat for ore at 11:16 - in what universe would red accept this? He literally just got a wheat and his ore is so much more valuable on this board, 1:1 is a straight up insult lol. I suggest tracking better, offering rare resources to specific players and sometimes doing greedy trades where you offer 3 cards for 1 if that will help you accomplish a key objective.

I really enjoy watching your content, but this game reminded me why I don't watch much 4 player catan anymore, half of the gameplay is just offering and countering trades.
