Thanks for making these videos on the game. Finally started playing on Colonist and it's a ton of fun. Just hit Gold 1, wanna try to climb as high as I can.

You had plow on black if you popped before settling on 11:49 and then kept your settle in hand with the road builder for your next turn. Obviously some risks involved (could 7 out) and also takes you longer to get to sheep, but might have be worthwhile to double up on ore and grab 3-1 first

I definitely didn’t since I just pulled the 3rd knight on that turn, but if I am missing a calculation, I would love to know what you see.

@@dandydrew so sorry, i thought you were only restricted to play one knight per turn. But its one dev card per turn. So i saw road builder plus knight would give you army and road.

You did have the plow on black at 14:47 for the 3:1 port on the 8 ore. Play the Road builder card to get over there, then port 2 ore for 1 brick for the settle. Might not have been worth it bc you used that ore for the city, but double settled on the 8 could get you a city pretty quick. You won anyway, though, good game

I saw the ore port play but frankly, I’ve got other ports/ options and leaving black as a potential threat allows me to pace better. Plowing black would make me public enemy #1 for the entire game and I would rather use that ore to city ASAP. Porting for a brick there is hella ugly. As a rule of thumb, you only would make the port and plow play if you believe it’s the move that HAS to be done to win. Otherwise, stay aggressive and out build the board.

AAAAAAAA , you could had that 3-1 port on 8, stone you had 2 stone wood,sheep,wheat and road builder and you didn't change ... that move made me cry. Instead you robbed.
