Lol I was orange this game. Well played dylighted. Nice tabletalk. I knew it was a busted setup too but I've rarely seen that type of collaboration in colonist. Learning something new every day regarding this game

I think working with Dylan here makes sense for the whole game. Gotta dev over 8/5/10 city tho I think to lock up army

@JackUsherNPC Dylan did an excellent job hiding his devs. I had no idea he had enough knights to take army, otherwise I would have been more desperate to buy devs. Also in general his set up was so awful that it took me too long to take him seriously as a threat.

To be fair, Dylan had a 3rd knight in his hand, so I was going to lose army in the short term regardless even if i bought a knight. I think building city was the right play in order to ensure I had the production to take army in the long run. Dylan had a very short window to win, and it required a) orange not taking road and b) Dylan pulling a VP before I could retake army from him (given I had far superior OWS set up it was likely inevitable).

​@noahmets lol yeah I wanted knights early but couldn't get them. With the way 6s and 9s rolled I thought it wouldn't be hard for me to take army, but you guys collabed so well....ggs

The ability to coordinate quickly after the situation changed was well done on your end too. At lower levels I don't think two people would be able to put orange on the back foot like you all did. Seeing the 7 roll after an insurance exchange was also a beauty!

Ever since Dylighted came back to KZread his attitude towards the game is so much better love to see it! Enjoying all the content!

Orange said that you won because you worked together, but tbf if that didn't happen orange would have just had a super easy game. All working together did was bring your and black's win chances from a 5% each to like a 25% each and you happened to get a nice timing win. All around good play from you and black, even though he didn't win, you all utilized each other quite well to deny the easy orange victory. A+ gameplay.

Looking at chat black basically saw everything coming true as they predicted really funny how they praise you mid game for finding a window, they also thought it was probably a way worse starting position compared to themselves and orange

absolutely outrageous dev card pull! was always gonna take something a little fortunate/wild to take a win here after the initial settlements had you so far behind

Great win! I do wish that the title of the video didn't spoil the end result though. Especially in games like this where you turned a near impossible game to a victory.

With regards to the bot, I think it would be very difficult to create a bot that does trades without it being exploitable in some way

No, it's simple. Allow bot trades, but 1 person at the table other than the people involved have to dictate it somewhat fair.

Think it's just based on looking at the players on the right and seeing how far down you are from the first highlighted player

I used to play the one on steam a year ago or so and it was nice but the Devs broke the game so do not bother with it. I’ve grown to enjoy colonist even if it’s not as official as the one on steam. Also the one on steam coats 5$ to play different boards if I remember correctly while colonist is free

@@Wh1tesammy You want the long answer? Going coastal in 4th is almost always a bad idea. So the question should have been "Would you ever consider 4-5-8 and 9-10?" The obvious answer is no, as you would not only have a crappy setup, you would also give your opponents much stronger setups by opening up the board.

Bots don't take trades when you're ahead, but u need to keep trying different combinations of cards. I found bots trade more often than they should, it's baffling to me that you said "I need that trade" but then you never offered brick for wheat. When I play ranked or unranked, people try different combos and 2-for-1s and bots almost always trade unless you're ahead on points (excluding VPs)
