For sure! I know we've all been there haha. Sometimes it feels impossible to pull out of a losing streak, but with enough patience they turn around :)

For both of these decisions I was very much prioritizing the ore spots above anything else. In the past I feel I've been too slow when building cities.

Schloop you are drifting. You started this channel full of energy about the game, focusing on becoming a better player, and progressively you switched focus from the gameplay to the whims of the dice. Which is super uninteresting for two reasons: 1. It's not based on reality. There is no pattern in the random rollings of the dice. If you think that there is, you are suffering from apophenia. 2. Even if there was a pattern, and some mischievous Colonist programmer had invested (i.e. wasted) his time to program a specific algorithm for your own rollings only for some nefarious reason, you can't do anything about it, and we the viewers can't do anything either. At least not without an extensive set of data, coupled with multidimensional analysis that reveals these patterns with statistical significance. Which you don't have and most likely you'll never will, because your knowledge about statistics is disproportionally small to your desire to increase it. And I can say this with a high degree of certainty, because I've met enough people in my life to know that having apophenia and liking statistics are not personality traits that are magnetic to each other. My advice is: switch the focus of your commentary back to the game, and keep for yourself any thoughts that you have about hidden agents who are secretly kicking the dice in an attempt to control your destiny. Or you are going to see the number of your viewers to decline.

I appreciate your concern, but you may be taking my language a bit literally. I often use emotional, even hyperbolic, language just to express myself. Like when I say, "the 10s were mean to me". While streaks of bad luck can feel malicious, I certainly don't think I'm being targeted by any secret antagonists at colonists 😅 I still want to get better at the game and am even at the highest rating I've ever had in a season! But also, I'm a person, not a Catan robot. I get frustrated, I make misplays, and I talk about how I'm feeling in the game. I'm sorry if you've enjoyed the recent videos less than before, but all I can do is continue playing and trying to improve. You've been with the channel since the beginning and I really appreciate that. I hope you stick around :)

I think you've read way too far into what Schloop was saying. Especially considering that 1v1 is actually balanced dice, so 10s WERE in fact particularly mean to them lol.
