At 11:50 you are blocking the ore, but the block should absolutely be the 5 sheep. They already have 4 cities so the ore is useless.

The 5 Sheep block would have been good 👍 The ore isn't useless to him when we're fighting over Army but, considering the sheep port, the 5 may have been better.

Depends entirely on the scenario. In this instance, if your opponent only has one source of wheat and no ports, while you have multiple tiles of wheat, then it can absolutely be worth it. It's definitely a painful decision to self block, but sometimes a necessary one.
