Very easy fix, cut the part out and apply a new layer over the empty hole, or put an entire new layer over the entire marking after it was removed with a polisher.

when checking to see if the cat is hot use the back of your hand , not your fingers or palm as shown in the video.

Yes, they can, just like all marks. The product is theft prevention, and both the USA's NHTSA and Canada's CCMTA strongly advise adding good identification marks because it helps deter thieves. There is no "silver bullet"; all we can do is make the product less desirable to steal. Another point is that removing identification marks is already illegal, and a higher crime in some jurisdictions, and the trend is growing. This makes having a catalytic converter with grind marks an even higher risk.

After applying the stencil and the etching fluid and running the car is the stencil removed ? Or does it fall off on its own?

The "stencil" is a label that is designed to stay on the catalytic converter. It provides an additional warning for thieves. We have one on a test vehicle that has been in place for over ten years, and it is still in place and easily read.

This will surely stop would be thieves in their tracks. There's no way they'd be able to get that sticker off and/or grind the etching off.
