What was the mechanic smashing down with the hammer. Is that part of the installation procedure?
couldn't they just use a bit that bites into it for stripped screws?
there is no guarantee to prevent theft .. if a thief wants it there going to get it sooner or later. looks like this product would definitely make them think twice about having to mess with getting around this shield. thanks for the install video... looks simple enough..
So you have to take off the cat shield every time when changing your transmission fluid?

well it would take a while before your next transmission fluid change.... it wouldn't be as often as an oil change
does this fit a 2005?
Hope that shield helps you deter the cat burglars!

Hopefully it won't generate too much heat being all closed up. Not enough vents.

That's what I was thinking. Would it be crazy to make vents!

Toyota has approved these Cats for their Cars and Trucks, and you can order them through Toyota. So my guess is that with the vents that it comes with you should be good..Hopefully..!!! @@Mr123chadg

Still good, no problems and my cad is still there!
What would prevent a thief from just ordering one of these kits for a couple hundred bucks and then they will have the "special" tool. How long would it take to cut that off with a cordless angle grinder?

Still has to work for it.

The fool proof method is to weld the plates directly to the truck. Good luck getting it off though.
That smash down didn’t look good
