You got the Spanish gender endings right in your text, but wrong when you spoke. Gato is male and gata female

Parlar comes from parabola, hablar comes from fabula. They are not cognates.

Thank you for paying attention to Catalan! Our language struggles to survive Spain's attacks since 3 centuries. Just one little thing: Catalán had 8 vowels, not 7 👍

Catalan is very Mediterranean and close to modern italian. Castilian has a lot of words from the Basques and the Moors.
