My neighborhood constantly has lost cat posters everywhere. And never any found ones. It breaks my heart! It's so great you got to see a found one. Imagine the joy of the owner putting that up! Lost cats are almost never found again. Letting our cats wander the neighborhood is a sure fire death sentence eventually, even if they are vaccinated! If kept indoors from birth, they don't miss the dangerous outside. The average life expectancy of an outside cat is about 4, but the average of an inside cat is 12 to 16. Google it!

Lots of cats do, including letting you do it while asleep. It is a really wonderful thing though! I don't have any cats anymore, and I miss that so bad!

I'm pretty sure it's a sexual instinct, even in fixed cats. And yeah they don't really enjoy it. They show enjoyment by relaxing and squirming, or stretching or rubbing.

Raising two cats, possibly siblings, and having them grow up to do nothing but fight each other is absolutely heartbreaking. The dog would be so upset when his buddies fought. He'd get in there and break them up. My last two were bro and sis and played together always. Cats can learn "no". I was with the last two 24/7 and they followed me everywhere so it was easy to monitor them. They were so much fun to live with.

for the cat petting guide, its accurate for my other 2 cats but my other cat, sneakers. if you dont pet him anywhere but under his ear he will BITE.

My cat is a confusing one… she can climb ladders, slouches against walls like a human slouched on a couch, she comes when called, and she lets you pet her stomach (even rubs her head on your arm while you do so)

Okay so, my cat is more of a dog in the most beautiful fur, got him from an emergency shelter at 1-2 years old, he's around 13-14 now. In all this time he has been the most cuddly, kind and loving beeing I have ever met on this earth. Two days ago I accidentally stepped on his tail with my full weight, and instead of biting, scratching or even slapping me in a reflex, he yelled out but was immediately cuddly again when I of course immediately apologized and made clear it was an accident. I genuinely don't know any other cat able to hold back that reflex. I love him very very much and he knows. He's the most attached cat I have ever seen, he also walks by my feet whenever I call him despite never having been trained (he had a horrible youth in a super messed up family, the youth protection agency basically stepped in due to child neglect and then took their malnourished animals to shelters). He also has a habit of sleeping on the pillow right next to whoever he cuddles and putting his arms around them in a genuine hug.
