This is one of my favorite videos on KZread that I find myself constantly coming back to. For me the part that brings me comfort is that the cat can go and have an adventure, his family still loves him and are looking for him. And when he decides to go back home, they accept him back no questions asked. I think everyone wishes they had someone, a family to run to when things get too hard.

Definitely think the screaming voice he hears at night is his own conscience regretting him leaving his home. When he tells it to shut up, he’s come to the conclusion he needs to return home.

The story is basically, the adult life when you move out of home. The depiction is clear, too lazy to explain but. You want something, then work. Living alone, having fun at night. But the city life is noisy, unpeaceful. An everyday repeat, occasionally there's something new, but otherwise it's just a repeated cycle in that life. Girl finding the cat is your first home before you grown out, your parents or loved ones, theyre missing you everyday. City life as an adult is fun, you could do everything you want as long as you can, but some things just get tiring, especially when everytime it's like that, unless it's your passion. I don't have anything against barbers, but clearly, some jobs you work on is not really want you want or your passion in your life, some of us are just forced on circumstances.

"Cat City is a movie about a cat who runs away from home to start a new life in the city. The cat is trying to live on his own, but his life away from home isn’t what he imagined it would be. Despite his initial success, he becomes disillusioned by the whole ordeal rather than finding fulfillment or happiness. He becomes depressed due to lack of sleep and the repetitive nature of his life, and he turns to alcohol to cope with the stress. It all goes downhill from there. I wanted to portray a world where a character’s experience in the physical world is a reflection of their emotional turmoil. Yes it is, i love it. The lines, the colors, the characters, its just simple but yet totally amazing and extremely entertaining. I feel inspired to be a cartoonist now.

i would binge-listen to an entire playlist of all the music that vewn uses in his animations.

I loved how you portrayed the emotional spiral through perspective!

i have watched this like 30 times now and its still amazing.

He changed so much and tried so hard to escape something positive in his life for freedom. A trade off that sounds terribly bitter sweet. And to come home defeated and genuinely lost to open arms.. Feels good man. Feels bad man.
