I think Fig thinks she's helping. She sees her human putting her hand in the clay as it spins on the pottery wheel. And she's doing the same thing in her adorable fluffy way.

I cannot believe how sweet their relationship is, and they are sharing a hobby! :) I love everything about it.

She said Fig was her assistant, but that’s not how cats work. Fig is the boss. She’s doing quality control checks of each piece, and gives her paw of approval when they meet her standards. What a great boss to work with ❤

cats love bothering people when they're working because they want to be involved with what we're doing, it's why they sit on computers and homeworks when you're doing it ;) I find it so cute whenever cat parents just let them get involved

You are so right! Reminds me of my former cat I had, Smokey, he was a Beautiful charcoal Grey with beautiful eyes, but he had to be involved in every project I worked on at the time!! He was always by my side, helping lol 😅 I miss him so much ❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗

Yep every time I put together furniture she was supervising. She tried to help me “hunt” one time when I was just fishing her toys out from under my old desk, and of course tries to help me work sometimes

It is beyond sweet that this lady set up a special stool so Figaro could be a part of the pottery process. I imagine most people would shoo a cat away. This lovely lady and precious cay are meant for each other.

Bless your patience and easy-going nature. What a cutie!!!

Fig is a master artisan and her creations are easily worth tens of thousands of dollars, if not more. Some of them even probably should be in museums.

I just smiled for three minutes straight watching this, oh my heart!! We can learn so much from cats about how to be good “quiet company”, or how to show support or interest without necessarily using words. Sometimes just having someone there is enough 🖤🙂

This talented and kind lady should market a line of her pottery and call it Fig ‘n Me, pieces that her kitty has specially worked on with her. Perhaps she could even sell it where a percentage of the proceeds go to animal rescue. I bet folks would buy it up! 😻

Fig LOVES HER POTTERY! She is just fascinated looking at the wheel goes round and round!! She is a regular ARTIST!! This keeps her spellbound and occupied!! Maybe my cat would like to have one of these!! I'm going to look into this!!❤😊

Cat supervisor. I have two. My boy likes to supervise my cooking and washing dishes. Both he and his sister follow me around. As a kitten my boy would instruct me on proper feeding. If I’m doing my bills either he or his sister would watch. Cats are wonderful supervisors. So glad this cat helps.

Aw! She's mirroring You! It's one of the ways cats socialize is by copying what you're doing. Like I said it's known as mirroring! My cat comes and mirrors us at dinner. He isn't generally interested in the food (though as he's gotten older he's gotten cheekier) but we put a bowl of water out for him and a stool so he can see everything and he 'eats' dinner with us every night!

My two studio cats raise hell, when I dont let them in! Usually it’s for their own safety, Im either working with resin, fire or something that is toxic to them. Clay is lovely versatile media and safe with cats, Ive made pendants and jewelry trays from their accidental paw prints :)

Well it took me months to grief Ricky but once secured a well paying home job that pays Thousands of dollars that is pushing some kind of working from crypto investment and it gave me lots of personal time thanks to laura muller ; I got a new Pet in memory of Ricky you know ; now I make it my first priority to ensure his well being and it's being like riding a roller coaster man. Never being more happy. Still miss Ricky tho.

Don't discount the possibility that your cat has an artistic inclination. Had a cat many years ago who would rearrange colorful, portable items, stepping away to view them at several angles, and modifying their placement until he was satisfied. Probably would not have believed in a cat with an art hobby had I not seen it for myself.

She is such a sweet, inquisitive little girl. I think she really does like to be your assistant, and likes to add her own personal touch to each piece.

My cats are inquisitive too they love being included in everything I do. Whether it's chores such as washing dishes, cleaning,organizing, laundry, folding etc.. They also love my belongings like my shoes, accessories,books, linens, dolls/plushes, cushions,any decor, & basically everything i have. They want to be involved in everything & mark, rub against, lay on, play with, cuddle & snuggle on all my stuff.🐈🐈🐱🐱🤗🤭🥰😸😻
