It’s funny you can find people saying the complete opposite in other comment sections, manly the All cutscene video game ones. I wish I grew up playing castlevania but I haven’t beaten any only played lord of shadow 1. But I love listening to all the game ost and I love the Netflix adaptation, season 3 was a little off but 9/10 for me overall

But damn if he didn't break our hearts in the process :(

That dialogue right there, that’s how the show managed to gracefully pull off the whole “villain wants to destroy humanity out of revenge” in a way which makes perfect sense. It basically done a miracle, but all it had to do was to focus on the characters and actually have people address the antagonist goals from multiple points of views. The fact that “it doesn’t makes logical sense” is not only narratively addressed when focused on the “emotional meaning” but made into a plot point into itself. When people say “cliche doesn’t equal bad”, this is immediately where my mind goes. The Vampire animation based on a 90s videogame franchise. Snobs be dammed, creativity can flourish anywhere.

Still watching the series... Wasnt expecting Bloody Tears when they engaged Dracula but when they did I got the biggest smile on my face as memories of playing Castlevania as a teenager began to emerge. Good times.

Well it's also really complicated, some songs are way old and original from the games, sort of newer renditions, but old songs nevertheless, and getting the rights to put them on a ost collectio is complicated by itself. That with not considering that the songs itself are on other OST. Take Bloody Tears as an example, the song originally is from Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, a game from 1987

Since Netflix didn't see fit to release the Season 2 soundtrack for... whatever reason, this is the closest I've heard to the actual Bloody Tears version from the show that wasn't just a rip from the show with an attempt to strip out voices/FX. Thank you, this will be going into my workout rotation!

This music hasn't been remastered very often, so when I saw your name on it, I thought: GOD! This man is a musical genius, and must have turned it into an epic and dramatic symphony! And I was not disappointed!

Alot more swearing than the games series, but the games were for kids.

Everything you produce is amazing, you know that? Also, I would like to note that, in the scene this is taken from, _everyone_ shone. As I put it on a video of the fight scenes: - Most Minion Kills: Alucard - Most Boss Kills: Sypha - Most Assists: Trevor Belmont It not only shows their teamwork's strength _and_ their individual strength, but the sheer growth that every single one of them has gone through up until that point. Trevor learning to trust and grow up, Alucard learning to trust and not stand alone, and Sypha learning to use her incredible gifts with a brilliance most of us would never have considered. Like, the ice into a long wall-blade, which she then rises up while her foe is approaching her from atop it? That's GENIUS. She also, of course, learns to trust the two hotheads to not kill each other :P

I absolutely love the inclusion of aot at 2:50. Man, SK you’re a genius.

@@martinolsen660 definitely. To be honest I loved everything about S4 except death casually swearing. It seemed a bit... meh. But then, at least dracula and lisa had the happy ending, so it was all good

@@judyhopps9380 Haha, yeah it was kinda weird for Death to be a 'funny' character when the drama and stakes were so high. I wasn't a big fan of Trevor surviving either but all in all I thought the last 2 episodes were extremely epic and beautiful. I also wrote my original comment still somewhat soon after experiencing the trainwreck of the Game of thrones ending - so maybe a 'really good ending' felt like a 'damn near perfect' ending in the heat of the moment xP

Out of all the Castlevania ost, bloody tears will always be my favorite. This came out awesome!!

@@JachAnen Yes man, it wasn't a specific Castlevania game, I didn't even know about the anime, but it had a phase inspired by that anime (I don't remember if it had a character too), but I have good memories hehe

So the good news is you can loop it. On mobile, hit the 3 buttons in the top right and hit 'loop'; on desktop, just right-click the video and hit loop. The bad news is I have no clue if you're still doing that campaign.

One of my favorite things about this show is that it doesn't treat the audience like children, there's nobody watching on the sidelines mid-battle explaining everything that goes on, Hell, most major fights have little dialogue at all. Just clean, visceral action.

I always played the games when I was young. This gave me back so many great memorys. And the animated series are a great honor to the games
